Plank Floors

DO NOT USE THIS FLOORING. I tried to resolve the flooring issues at my home in Canberra for over 18 months to which no one at Plank took any responsibility. My flooring suffers from gyprock dusk, yellow joins and faded edging even after the utmost care was taken when installing. The overall quality of the product is absolutely terrible and a total waste of money. After following cleaning instructions from Plank, none of the issues were resolved. I have had two independent floor consultants view my flooring and both have suggested the Plank flooring installed at my home is substandard and should be replaced – there is no way to correct the issues as they stand. The dust aside, the actual product is questionable. The edges bleed a yellow tinge which two separate industry specific contractors noted, the product is so soft and delicate that everything and anything marks it and the gaps between each plank varies. I have had several timber and engineered products in both my previous homes, none to-date have been of substandard quality such as Plank. I cannot advise strongly enough - DO NOT purchase Plank flooring. Furthermore, the staff member who visited my home and performed a 'site inspection' was only there to take a day off work to travel from Sydney to Canberra. She was in and out within 10min. There was no formal assessment, she viewed the floors, tried wiping a section and claimed that the dust would eventually disappear. The floors were completely sealed during construction, I used the highest level of protection on the market. Plank then suggests that at my expense, I have the floors cleaned as it was not their fault. The fact that even if any residual dust was found, their recommended cleaning products should have removed it all however, due to the poor quality of the flooring, I now have flooring as per the images listed. When I requested an accessor, the owner raised his voice at me on the phone and hung up. There has been no effort to rectify my situation. It will now be at my expense that I rip up this flooring and use a product that is of quality. Overall, I hope that no one ever has to endure what I have been through with this company.
