SpringHill Suites by Marriott Sarasota Bradenton

No elevator! Bed bugs! rude services! I should look at other reviews before booking. I saw another review saying elevator malfunction since last year. I should book a hotel just across the street. My friend stayed there much cheaper, cleaner and more service. The worst place I stayed around Tampa area.

This place is trash. I’m not being hyperbolic either. We booked two adjoining rooms for the Player’s Cup Soccer tournament and on the night of check in my wife was bitten by bed bugs. One was on the headboard and another in the bed. We found a bullet under the mattress as well when inspecting for more bed bugs. I reported the bed bugs to the front desk and the attendant was unaffected, unsurprised and only offered apologies. We asked for our points to be refunded and our belongings heat treated, to which she was surprised I asked for these things. Its been over a week and we still have not been refunded our points, apology, or communication from this hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE.

I have stayed at this hotel over 5 times in the past and think this would be my last.. the beds and pillows in the past were comfortable but this time it was horrible! The pool was dirty, breakfast was disgusting to say the least! I'm so disappointed honestly been a Marriott member for so many years and it's the first time that I felt this way. My husband wanted to leave in the morning because it was so bad but I convinced him to stay for just one more day. I have to say that the ladies at the front desk were very friendly and the young lady that was taking care of the breakfast area was accommodating and had her area clean. Hope they can do some changes to the beds and pillows..

This is a very good store, with very nice staff and an overall very good stay. The bed was comfortable. Slept well on it. Quiet hotel too. We will stay here again if we need a place in Sarasota.

It’s a shame Marriott owns this hotel and thinks it is remotely ok to rent out these nasty rooms. The hotel is so disgusting! There is hair everywhere, toothpaste on the dresser, smell like mold, the shower had hair, the drain disgusting. The hotel is supposedly being renovated but they should shut it down while renovations.

Breakfast was okay. Asst. Manager was great. Rooms could use a little updating. But overall nice stay

This hotel is absolutely disgusting! It started out that the elevator was not working. Then My bed was not turned over. When I got into bed, there were crumbs in it, and the bed sheet did not fit the bed. The bottom foot of the bed sheet did not cover the mattress. Also the shower had a lot of black mold in it, and the floor looked like it had never been cleaned. I stay in hotels about 16 to 18 days a month, and this was by far the worst I have stayed in in a long time.

I am a Bon Voy member and stay at Marriott regularly. I was here for 3 nights and this hotel has potential but needs attention. The shower floor was disgusting black and ceiling had water or smoke stains. I use shower shoes. The West Elm furniture is great but the place has bugs and needs a good scrub. Two tvs in the room thankfully one actually worked.
