Shakespeare Hotel

First time coming tonight and I am so impressed!. This pub has so much character. Big shout out to Andrew and Anna who made my night!

Superb location old fashioned pub accomodation. It’s basic, shared bathrooms, rooms are old style but clean. Friendly u0026 helpful staff. Good beer u0026 food. Did I mention the superb location…? Great for the price!

Amazing atmosphere. Coming into a beautiful Irish pub and seeing people with their dogs is amazing. Upstairs’ chandlers and lighting for events is amazing too. Beautiful place that I love going to a few times a month.

Anna and Andrew were amazing staff who accommodated to our needs and made sure we had an amazing time. If all staff are to this level, this is truly a great venue. Would definitely recommend!

Friendly bar tender but my 24 dollar ‘lamb’ was most definitely not lamb. Chewy, bony and flavourless cheap beef. Mash and broccolini were mediocre (but not as bad as the meat). Atrocious lunch

Great fkn pub. Young lads behind the bar were delightful and welcoming. Charming and homely decor, prices were amazing for the location. The kind of place you could drink Guinness all afternoon. Will be back.

Review is for meals, not staying at the hotel. Really beautiful pub with fantastic atmosphere. The upstairs features lovely touches: flocked wallpaper, antler chandelier and wooden fireplace mantels. Hard to believe this place is in the city, what a gem! 💎 Great spot for groups, a couple of the upstairs rooms can accommodate groups of about a dozen. Good food, standard modern Aussie fare. Good veggie options. 🚈 Just across from the light rail. Easy walking distance from main roads in Surry Hills.
