The Baron Hotel

It’s a very basic old timey hotel with barebones amenities. The location is great and everything is clean. Staff is 24/7 and price is low. It’s certainly a “you get what you pay for” hotel but if all you need is to go to sleep u0026 shower it’s good. The A/C is loud but can get colder than Antarctica if needed.

Location, location, loc... what's that smell? If you're looking for a nice, warm, clean, comfortable room, keep looking. However, if you need a place to sleep and leave your bag while you explore DC, this is the spot, in a central location.

Stayed here on a whim because it was close to something for work. It was interesting... It seems to be mainly a comedy club, and has a very old bar in the basement. Hard to tell it was also a hotel. Old rickety elevator up to the rooms, which appeared clean but small.

The Baron Hotel is a great place to stay at if you want to do nearby activities. The train is also close by. The room was clean and cozy. The hotel is very quiet. The customer service was great. They always have coffee near the front desk. The only issue I had was the bed. It had a soft memory foam on top, and I prefer a firmer mattress because of my back. But overall, we still slept well.

Great beautiful old school hotel, complete with grated elevator door you have to open yourself. They don't make 'em like this anymore! Easy check in, polite friendly staff, even got the bartender to serve a couple of beers for the room after closing. Simple rooms, nothing fancy, but the building is full of history and charm. Great price (make reservations directly on their site , cheaper than any of the apps), great location.

Room was small and clean. AC/heater, water pressure u0026 water heater were great. Staff were friendly u0026 helpful. No fridge and microwave, but perfect for a short business trip. It is an older hotel that the flooring is quite uneven. Coffee and tea are provided by the front desk. It's walking distance to a fresh market, restaurants, pharmacy. Price was a bit high, but I guess that's just DC.

I spent the better part on a day trying to call and get in touch with them- from a train. No answer. This is because the phone was unplugged. On purpose. Only when I was standing at the desk calling the front and it didn't ring did they believe me. Their computers were down so they couldn't swipe my card for a deposit. When the computers were working again rather than call me they disabled my key card. So my mom and I were locked out of my room .me without shoes. The manager I believe her name was Elizah was a unicorn and nowhere to be found even upon request would not respond. If she was actually a real person at all...even the girl downstairs selling trees was rude and dismissive. If you have money to spend on a hotel, spend it somewhere else. The room itself was just ok. No water pressure in the shower.

Small rooms, doors and outlets don't work properly. Lacking the feel of comfort. Not enough lights. Our windows looked at the brick wall across. The elevator is extremely hard to open and close. I preferred to use the stairs.
