Elanora Hotel East Gosford

Came here a few weeks ago for a birthday dinner and wasn't impressed. When our party first walked in we were abruptly interrupted and asked for ID before anything else quite rudely. When questioning this the staff member told the party member to Calm down mate when he asked very calmly. He then pointed to a table and walked off after we all showed our ID. We came in at about 7pm so not too late that I believed ID should've been required but I'm not from the state so I wasn't 100% It was a very busy night when we came and food took about 45 minutes to come out (Not an issue for us as we were all happy chatting) and the food I ordered was actually really good (wings and sweet potato fries). My Partner got the chicken Parma and said the sauce was pretty good but the chicken was a little dry. The only complaint was the rude staff member. We had a lovely girl help us when looking for extra napkins though! I'd definitely come back on a less busy night when staff wasn't super overrun though

The bistro was heaving on a Wednesday night, and it's easy to see why. The food was well above average pub fare, and reasonably priced too. The schnitzel I had was excellent, real chicken and not over-crumbed. Lucky we made a booking though!

We went there for mothers day dinner. It was a busy night as expected. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was out quick despite how busy it was. Boy was the food delicious and filling. So many good choices. We will be coming back again

Everytime I’ve been to this restaurant it is extremely loud. You can not hear your table speak. The acoustics seem to echo any noise in the building. Especially on the weekends when they have karaoke. Even during the week the noise level from everyone talking can get extremely loud. Food is always nice though. Bit expensive for what you get though

New menu is very disappointing. We often went to the Elanora for the Karage chicken which is now off the menu and replace with sweet chili chicken tenders. We also ordered the poutine fries (new menu) which was nice but the chorizo was shriveled up well over cooked.

Best steak I've had in years. Busy as in there, huge line up for the 1 register (20+ minutes for me) but definitely worth it. Rib eye was simply perfect. Mushroom Aranchini was mind bending.

Ordered the Cauliflower Tacos and Beef Tacos. Absolutely delicious. Only giving 4/5 as I was still a bit hungry but was great! I’ve ordered the same thing twice within a week.
