We had a issue with a Dyson v8 took it back to currys at Kingsway mickleover derby , and the team manager Amanda was very understanding and put the issue right very professional ,well done we will certenally carry on shopping there well, susan read.

Lady in customer services today 28/07/23 @ 1725 hours acted in an unfriendly, rude and curt manner. Unwilling to help Update after driving to the Chesterfield store where the lady was very helpful she did explain that Derby store could have helped me and processed my refund. The likelyhood is it would have affected their numbers apprently. Shame I had to go to the another store

The consistently wonderful thing about stores in Derby is the friendly helpful staff...and Currys was just as good! Helpful staff, we got the product we wanted (it wasn't available at the first Currys we went to, but they checked the other Derby store, and it was available there). I know it's much easier, sometimes, to buy online...and I'd still prefer to shop in person, especially so we have a connection with a real human being!!

Staff sort of knowledge of what we wanted but out of stock on 3 items we asked for! So ended up buying on line with another shop. Lost a sale because didn't have what we wanted in stock!

After a horrible experience at Burton (detailed on the Google page for that store), Chris (Operator 21) at this store gave us the experience we'd expect from Currys. Long story short, I'd bought a hifi from Burton that was reduced as ex-display. They didn't give me the accessories they had stored for it, which I got after going back but it was missing an essential FM Aerial which the DAB radio needs, but they claimed it didn't need so took it as faulty. I knew full well they were either clueless or BSing me, so took the refund on card so I could buy a more expensive unit from a different branch as why should they get a bigger sale? Well, when we got there Chris came over within an acceptable timescale (rather than standing around ignorantly chatting like Burton) and listened to our needs. They actually had on the shelf a boxed and unopened version of the one I'd returned to Burton but it didn't have a price on it. He went and found the price, and pleasantly told us that it was cheap - and the same price as the shelf display stock Burton had sold me. This was unopened. He made the sale pleasant, and I even let him upsell me to the extended care agreement - at a discounted £4 which was much better than the £14 Burton had tried to sell me it at, and I was happy to pay that little bit extra (and the petrol to get there) for service like this. How two stores can be so different I don't know. I've been a Burton customer since I was a child (I'm now mid-40s) but I'll go to Kingsway in the future based on this. Credit to the Derby staff.

Staff member did not know they sold travel adapters. The initial staff member was not helpful. There were others who tried to help but was delayed as we found ourselves what we were looking for. Cash purchase was not possible due to no cash in the till. Ended up paying by card, could have said before they prefer card payment.

Curry's Kingsway Derby, they don't even deserve a 1 star. The man that called himself a manager should not even be managing pigs. Sean D he was so rude and unhelpful. I had a situation where I purchased a television yesterday and was told yesterday that £135.00 to deliver and put the item on my walling. I did take the television with me. I rtn to get this set up the following day only to be met by Sean D who told me the cost has gone up £150.00 I told him the price that I had yesterday, he refused to acknowledge he wanted to rub me. Even when others in the store was suggesting ways he did not have to do this. He was stuck on his way or no way. I in the end returned the TV and taken my money back to my card. I also told him he needs some form of training because his rudeness was not part of what should be issued out to others on his shift. NO MANAGING SKILLS WHATSOEVER. I will never be returning to curry's in a hurry.
