09-04-2023 22:13If you're seeking an authentic and divine Chinese dining experience, look no further than New Young Cheng, one of London's hidden gems for the BEST dim sum. This underrated and often empty restaurant deserves far more recognition for its incredible and authentic Chinese cuisine. During my visit, I had the Xiao Long Bao Shanghai Pork Dumplings (£5.20) and they were simply perfect. The Minced Prawn u0026 Pork Stuffed in Deep Fried Dough Stick (£5.20) was delightfully flavourful and unique, while the Prawn and Pork Dumplings with Peanuts and Oyster Sauce (£5.20) were ambrosial and authentic. The Szechuan Hot u0026 Sour Soup (£5.20) was a true representation of authentic Chinese cuisine, leaving me craving more. The Special Roast Platter (£15.80) offered the perfect combination of crackling siew yoke, duck, and charsiew, boasting tenderness and crunch, elevated with a sinful sauce. Lastly, the Golden Egg Fried Rice (£3.80) was fragrant and delicious, pairing amazingly with the Special Roast Platter. Don't miss out on this AMAZING Chinese experience! A definite must-try for London dim sum lovers. Full review @jagglet on Instagram.

06-30-2023 00:25Such an awful restaurant. The Peking duck was oily and dry. Definitely different from the normal Peking duck skin that I have. Ordered normal Cantonese dishes. The sweet sour pork, gosh utterly disgusted. Small piece of meat with huge batter covering it. The chicken dish was just dreadful. I hope they will do better in the future. Price was also on a steep side. Definitely better to go for buffet restaurant than coming to here.

05-10-2023 07:19I have been here with my family before. I went back to the restaurant two days ago at around 9:30 pm. The restaurant is very clean, even though it has been open since the morning. The crispy pork and plain fried rice are must-tries. The staff here are always kind and polite.

03-28-2023 01:37Tourist trap. Being Cantonese I can tell you is nowhere near being authentic. The sweet and sour pork is not even using the right type of pork and the coating is not what it should taste like. Being in London for the first time, one of the things I wanted to try was their bread crab. For 28 pounds, I was told it would be live, fresh crab but the meat on it tasted like it is one of those that have died for a while where it was mushy and disintegrate into tiny bits when you dig it out from the shells. We asked the manager and he confirmed the crab meat should taste solid just like regular crab. He then went to check with the kitchen and came back to lie to us that it was indeed fresh crab and offered a whopping 10% discount lol. How I know it was a lie? I confirmed after the meal since their tank that store their seafood next door has zero live bread crab in it. The service from the young waiter was alright and ambience was fine but scamming people like with rotten food is not how you do business.
