Josie's Cakes

This is the best Dominican cake I’ve had. I am so happy to have found this place! It’s a 45 min drive for me and I’d still keep going there. I ordered a 1/2 lb. with pineapple filling.

I had a bad experience on an order I made, first they were an hour behind on my order I was suppose to pick up the cake at 3:45, I showed up at 4:30 and still had to wait. Because I late it wasn't till i got home that I realized the writing on the cake was completely wrong. The worse part about it was that the owner herself handed me the cake. I wrote on the order sheet what needed to be written on the cake and they still wrote it wrong. The cake was for a confirmation and it was suppose to say God Bless on your confirmation. Look at the picture to see what the wrote. Apparently there is no quality check performed.

I ordered a tres leche cake for 20 people and it was huge and deff feeds more and for a reasonable price. The cake was absolutely delicious and everyone at my Friendsgiving loved it and went back for seconds. Great customer service and easy order process. Highly recommend! Thank you so much !!

VERY MISLEADING… I’m so disappointed. I was told that these cakes were amazing. I went to get some samples for my mother’s 75th birthday celebration, and they were GREAT. Spending $6 a slice, my sisters and I tried two different flavors and love them! We decided to take the leap and order a custom two-tier cake for this past weekend. We weren’t expecting many guests, so we wanted 1 1/2 pounds, but Josie said for two-tier cakes she starts at 2 1/2 pounds, which ended up being $235. My sisters and I were apprehensive but again, took the leap and placed the order. Before I continue, it should be known that we are Dominican so we KNOW what Dominican cake tastes like. This cake was horrible. NOTHING like the samples. So dissatisfied, especially since the cake was so expensive. We tried calling Josie’s, but an employee said we should’ve brought the cake back? On a Saturday night? DURING THE PARTY?Who does that… The only good thing about Josie’s Cakes are the empanadas, unfortunately…

My family and I have been ordering cakes from Josie since before the bakery was opened! We love that they have a bakery now and every event we order a cake from here. Hands down the BEST Dominican cake on Long Island. I’ve ordered cakes for birthdays, my wedding and more recently my second baby shower. The cakes are always fresh and high quality. They are great about looking at inspo photos and making recommendations on cake design based on your budget and size of the cake. They have a loyal customer! The staff is great and always friendly. Thank you Josie’s Cakes for always making our events that much more special and memorable with your delicious cakes and deserts! Our guests and even vendors ALWAYS ask me who made the cake so that they can order too. I cannot recommend them enough.Did I mention they also can do cake pops, cup cakes, cookies and tres leches cups?! Perfect for a sweets table. Loveeeee this bakery!

Best cakes in town!!!!! Josy is always on point with all my cakes! Over a decade of ordering cakes from her never had any issues what so ever!!!! My most recent order was the attached most beautiful and tasty cake ever!!!! My invites could not stop talking about how delicious the cake was!
