Costco Wholesale

Although Costco is a great store with amazing deals. I recently had a bad experience with a manager, Megan. I went into Costco and had planned on shopping (with my dads card). Not knowing this new implemented rule starting November 1st of not being allowed to use a family members card if they’re not there, I asked the manager if they could make an exception. Without hesitance she said no, I asked her even though I am a dependent living under the same roof as my parents, and do not pay any bills, she expected me to sign up for a Costco card. I asked if there was anything she could do. She said that I could take off my moms name off the card and have my name on it instead (I wanted to do that, so she directed me to the customer service). Before going there, I asked if I could pay there and she quickly responds no. I was walking over to customer service, and I saw an employee scanning a customers items to purchase. I then just left out fury. Megan had no empathy and showed no remorse, she could’ve handled the situation better as someone who works in customer service.

I love Costco but not this location, parking lot too small and the store itself has to be one of the smaller footprints that Costco has across the US. Lines for the self checkout quickly run up the aisle and things just feel very tight and compact.

A good thing over used. Parking is crowded. Checkout is always understaffed. Stupid line to get out after you checkout. Maybe almost worth it if you have a large family. Otherwise go somewhere else. Note this is for Hempstead location. Pretty obvious management here does not care about customers wait time. I use pharmacy and try to go during off times.

Great shopping venue for so many items in Lancaster, PA---food, household, gifts and so much more! I have been a member since 1996! Great products, great values on so many items. Handicap Parking and scooters too, for those who need one. Good customer service too! I go almost weekly!

I don’t normally post reviews but when an employee goes above and beyond I want to recognize it! Today I was at Costco doing my normal monthly shopping. We got to the self checkout (had my two kids in tow) and my son reminded me I forgot to grab the popsicles that I save till the end so they don’t melt. As I was standing there trying to figure out what to do, the employee working the self checkout line (his name is Maurice) overheard my son and offered to walk the whole way back and grab a box for us while I checked everything else out. I would have never expected him to do that but the fact that he offered so I could keep my transaction running smoothly was above and beyond in my opinion. I really appreciated it! He deserves public recognition ☺️

I love Costco, but Lancaster County needs another one. This Costco is ALWAYS packed. Last time I went, it was a Tuesday at noon and I couldn’t find a parking spot. The other annoying thing is you can’t just scan your items with your phone self and pay/checkout with the app. This is so antiquated. But that pumpkin pie for $5.99 is unbeatable!

Remember how Costco treated you so rudely when you wasn’t wearing your covid face mask properly? Why are all of you still shopping at Costco? Remember, we’re all in this together. Find somewhere else to shop.

The deals are great and the warehouse has always been clean when I've gone. The only thing that would make this a 5 star location instead of 4 would be wider aisles to keep traffic moving a little better. Staff here has always been courteous and seem to be enjoying their work, which is much different than the club I used to be a member at.
