Extended Stay America - Toledo - Holland

As I sit here and read these reviews I can't help but wonder if people are getting this location confused with the quality Inn across the street. I personally stay at this location twice a week and can honestly say that the GM Mark and his staff go out of there way to make everyone's experience the best it can be, as I have witnessed it first hand on many occasions. I've stayed in many rooms in this location and are the room's not completely updated sure (but the hotel is probably 30 years old) but they are ALWAYS CLEAN. I guess the saying is true you can't please everyone. To the Holland OH staff keep up the great work.

I recently was put up in this hotel when my apartment complex was making a major repair. Initially, the room seemed clean although in need of some updating. The tv remote worked about half the time, and carpet needed replacing. None of these were huge problems, just markers of an older hotel. However, about 2 hours into my stay, I discovered two bedbugs on the bed. I had checked the bed when I first arrived, but didn't see anything. The staff immediately came up and helped me move out. They offered me a new room, but I made other arrangements. I imagine in a place like this it's a frequent occurrence, and you can't control what people bring in. The staff was responsive and apologetic, and that's really all I can ask. I hope they are able to address the issue.
