PIRATE.COM - Rehearsal & Recording Studios

I have been using the Cardiff studio for a long time and have witnessed it’s decline, the building especially the toilets and studios 10 and 5 are always saturated in water (I hope water and not waste) rotting floors in the toilets to the point you could actually put your foot through the floor! Then onto the equipment, very poorly maintained and outdated, it’s pot luck if any of them are working right! Given the recent price increases it is not value for money and in my opinion the increase is offensive considering the state of the studios

Used to be quite good until they let the DJ/MC/full tracksuit crowd in who just wrecked everything and leave loads of rubbish. There also used to be tea and coffee making facilities. Could we bring these back? That was a nice touch.

Always love a pirate session glad that this sort of thing is available to practice your craft and even just for a laugh about with mates. My closest one is 20 minutes away by train in reading which is perfect. One thing is i wish there was an extra pro room as it’s a struggle to book those sometimes :)

I've been here once before and had a good experience. However, I booked a slot today and they cancelled my reservation at the exact start time of my booking. It would have been great if they had cancelled maybe 20-30 minutes before my booking time instead of waiting until I'm at the door.

Was a great studio but it needs the decks changed as they are not in the best shape anymore and they need to be able to handle bigger USBs than 32gb. The owners have let the building, studio room and equipment go to pot. It's a shame as they used to be pretty good.
