11-24-2023 04:30I had a great experience at Edinburgh Bike Coop. I came in a little clueless looking to fix up my dad’s old mountain bike. David and his colleagues were not only extremely helpful but just as friendly. They sorted me out with what I needed and made some helpful recommendations on what I could look into improving next. I would highly recommend going to the Edinburgh Bike Coop.

10-04-2023 19:59I needed a box to pack my bicycle in for a flight back home. I messaged Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative and received a quick response that they should have some empty boxes available. When I went to the shop to pick up a box a gentleman working on a bicycle dropped what he was doing just to find me a box. Everyone at the store was extremely helpful even giving me packing materials to secure the bike in the box. The store was very busy at this time yet they went over and beyond to help me with my needs. I would highly recommend Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative with any of your bicycle needs.

08-31-2023 09:27I visited today to try and source a rare gear hanger part for a neighour who bought a Charge bike from the Coop in 2011 . The guys in the workshop were so helpful and friendly. They managed to find the part for me - impressive service with smiles all round , I will recommend to friends - Seasons Greetings Guys

06-15-2023 08:13Great bike shop with plenty of bikes, clothing, accessories and spares. Also a separate workshop for all your build and servicing needs. Staff are friendly, approachable and helpful. Not the cheapest of places compared to major online retailers but I personally don't mind paying slightly more to shop local. If you're in the area and like your bikes then I'd suggest a visit is worthwhile.

06-12-2023 18:19Visited Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative in a desperate situation, racing in UCI Gran Fondo World Championships the next day, a long way from home and my SRAM rear mech had failed. Despite being fully booked, workshop manager took the time to diagnose the issue, and when EBC couldn't supply the spare in time, called another bike shop and helped me find the solution. Without such help I couldn't have even competed - Thanks and Chapeau!

04-30-2023 12:54Attempted to process clearly failed, not delaminated, shimano crankset here as per instructions and to say I was met with apathy would be generous. Was told they wouldn’t look at one without receipt proving it had been purchased there, said they would take my details and they would be in touch once they got through all ones with proof of purchase there, I asked roughly how long this might be and was told if I’d not heard “in a while” to get in touch with them. This policy runs contrary to guidelines for recall on shimano website. I informed them I’d purchased bikes and components from them in the past and attempted to appeal to their common sense given crank had clearly visibly failed and I’d been a loyal customer of theirs; was met with blank stares and level of disinterest that would make black books look like Waitrose- basically computer said no and staff members involved couldn’t have cared less. Went to shop (Harts in corstorphine) id never spent a penny in before where I was met with proper customer service and was in and out in five minutes. Avoid this place unless you want to deal with people more interested in drinking tea and blinking than actually retaining customers.
