Travelodge Edinburgh Central Queen Street

Location was very good. Service quick and convenient. For the room. It was standard family although a little bit small. Beds were comfy. Had a few problems in bathroom. Mould behind bath tap. No floor mat and extraction fan didn't seem to be working so when having a shower the whole bathroom is saturated. However the shower was excellent. Water pressure was fantastic giving very good shower.

Comfy bed which is the main thing I guess when looking for a hotel. Location great. Couldn’t check in my bag early which was annoying so had to carry it round all morning ended up paying for early check in just to drop my bag off so I could enjoy my afternoon. Also had to pay for Wi-Fi as no signal in rooms. If you just want a bed to sleep this will do the job but bit disappointing for anything else. Alan who checked us out was lovely

Absolutely fantastic value for such a good location. All the staff we encountered were really friendly and helpful. Room was perfectly fine. A little squished for 2 people at times but really can't complain for the price! The shower was also really good. One small niggle was the fan being on 24/7 which got a bit annoying when trying to sleep. It was quiet on our floor but if there were noisy people you would definitely hear them.

Spacious room. Clean beddings. And thank God for the heater to warm up the cold room! Bathroom could be improved. One of their front desk staff (I think his name was Alan) was very helpful in answering my questions about how to get to the airport in the wee hours of the morning and safety to walk to St Andrew’s Square for the airport bus. It’s also walkable distance to the old city and new city. So the location is pretty strategic.

The room was alright, as expected really. Did pay for the plus room and couldn't tell much difference from a standard room. There is a lot of noise in the mornings from surrounding buildings which did mean I was woken up early each morning I was there. For the price though you can't really complain.

Excellent location for easy access to many of the central areas of Edinburgh. Rooms very spacious, light and bright. The only disappointment was mould around the base of the shower, simple to remove with a little bleach. Otherwise an excellent stay.

Only spent one night,and had breakfast out. Pricey bit very clean lovely cotton sheets and huge bath towels. No fussy toiletries or hairdryer. Comfy bed but small room which was OK for us. No drawers. Kettle in room for a cuppa. Shower curtain useless,water just went everywhere! Staff helpful and friendly. Disabled car park a bonus.

Stayed here during the Festival. Location was great for the festival, walking distance to all the venues and near many good cafes and restaurants. We were on the ground floor and had some noise from the alleyway outside - bin collection etc - but not terrible. The room was basic but a decent size and very clean. Bed was comfortable. No aircon but wasn't an issue given that the weather was mild. Staff were friendly and helpful. It was expensive but not by Festival standards. Very happy with the stay.
