What started out as a need to get rid of some weight and generally get healthy, has transformed into a drive to get stronger and see exactly what it is, that I am capable of achieving. Paul specializes in working with people who want to achieve a healthier self. Through strength training and functional fitness movement, Paul helps his clients achieve better mobility, flexibility and muscle strength. Working with clients 35 and over has become a bit of a specialty for him. His straight forward approach to training each client from their personal starting point, means that you are not getting a cookie cutter training program. For many people attempting the gym later on in life, the idea of someone making you do a lot of cardio is not very appealing. Paul's care and attention to what you need to do to achieve your goal....whatever that might be, is why his clients keep coming back for the long term. His willingness to help you in all areas of your heath and fitness, whether it is finding information to help your progress or connecting you to specialists that could help you,Paul looks after his client's well being. Paul has helped me to discover that at 62 I am actually an athlete and has encouraged me to reach for a goal other trainers might not have. He is the reason I am able to compete in Olympic Weightlifting at the World Masters Games this year. Even though I have moved out of the area, I would not consider training with someone else. It is worth the drive from South Delta to North Burnaby every morning to train with him. 12-27-2023 02:17Like many people, I hadn’t been able to find the time to go to the gym. I’m a busy mom, who works full-time and often has to travel for business. About six months ago, I decided to get serious about getting into better shape. But the thought of going to a gym intimidated me, and I wasn’t sure that I could keep myself motivated to work out regularly. So I decided to invest in a personal trainer, and found Paul. He asked me about my goals, and tailored a training program just for me. I train with him three times a week, and have been doing that consistently for the last 6 months. When I travel on business, he even gives me a workout plan that I can even do in my hotel room. I was so uncoordinated at first, but Paul was so patient and motivating - I can’t believe the improvement in my form, and in my body! He’s very professional, always arrives early to set up for our sessions, and sends reminder notes or texts to keep me motivated. I also really like the atmosphere as it’s not a ‘typical’ gym, which allows me to focus on my workout. This is the first time in my life I’ve been consistent in my fitness routine, and I credit Paul for keeping me motivated and our workouts interesting and challenging. Paul is the best!

11-29-2023 06:17I was a gym newbie and just started working out a few months ago. Paul was the one who guides me through and motivates me. He is willing to answer all my questions and explain what muscles to use for different exercise. I learn a lot from him. Paul is truly amazing. I would recommend him to anyone who is wanting to change but afraid to go to gym.

08-28-2023 00:50If you are looking for a personal trainer then Paul is your guy!!! I was looking for someone to fix my technique with squats and deadlifts and to build me a program to get myself and my fiance ready for our upcoming wedding. Instead of doing what alot of other trainers did which was put us on the same program, Paul broke our needs down and individualized our programming for our required technical needs and our goals. Paul did come off as a bit intimidating at first as he is passionate about his job and about teaching the proper and perfection of technique but within 30 seconds of being in his presence both my fiance and I loved him. He truly cares! Have fun with this friendly giant... it will be 100% worth it.

Being someone who was very intimated at the idea of working out (let alone in public with people watching!), Paul made my transition to a pursue a healthier lifestyle much easier than I ever expected. He is patient and encouraging all while pushing you to your limits without you even realizing that he's doing it. Just shy of 3 months, Paul has managed to fix my bad posture, be more confident in myself and to promote a healthier mindset that will last a lifetime. He is invested in your goals from the beginning!

07-14-2023 21:50I would highly recommend Tall Paul for your health and fitness needs! Paul really got me out of my comfort zone and taught me that strength training isn't as scary as it may seem. Prior to seeing Paul, I had no idea that I was doing push-ups wrong! Paul took the time to correct my form during each exercise. In addition to my physical fitness, Paul also educated me on supplements that I was curious about and provided me with healthy snack ideas to get me through the day. If you want to see results and start crushing those fitness goals - go see Paul!

I feel stronger, healthier and happier and I know if I stick with him I am reaching my goals! I needed someone who was understanding of my health restrictions and he has been so patient and accommodating ! He really knows what he is doing and builds me up very strategically so every session is different yet amazing and I feel like it's working ! Thanks Paul !

Within days, he helped me eliminate pain and pressure on my knees and back and got me doing some of the most intense workouts I've ever done. Paul's an awesome personal trainer who truly practices what he preaches. He lives and breathes health and fitness and is genuinely excited to share his wealth of knowledge.
