10-08-2023 03:27I bought some work boots and subsequently lost the receipt to give my company so they would reimburse. I returned to see if they could print me a copy. While waiting, my 5 year old son was horsing around with his uncle and smoked his face on one of the shelves by the checkout. The staff were very supportive as I consoled my crying child. They offered something cold to put on his bump and got my receipt copy. Above and beyond service for an above and beyond situation. Thank you marks employees 🙏 👏

06-19-2023 00:14Very frustrated with my experience at Mark’s. Was looking to purchase a pair of winter boots for my son but the Sidney store was out of stock. A lovely employee phoned down to the Chatham store and confirmed a pair of boots were put aside on hold for me to purchase the following morning. When I called in the morning to confirm I was told couldn’t find the boots and they didn’t have anymore on the shelf in my son’s size. As these were on sale ($38.99 down from $129.99) they couldn’t order them in for me, and they are sold out online. I was told the best they could do for me was offer me 25% off a different pair of boots, no offer to price match the sale price even though it was their error. Very poor customer service.

05-29-2023 08:21I pulled into the parking lot to return something at this location and was confronted by an employee in the parking lot accusing me of parking at the store when I wasn’t shopping there…. I was literally holding a Mark’s box in my hands !! I went inside and the girl at the counter told me I could only get a refund onto a gift card. I told her that I wanted a refund onto the card I had paid with… she said that wasn’t possible. I told her that they had no such policy posted and that if she didn’t refund me I would contact my credit card company. She said that she couldn’t refund me except onto a gift card and I told her she has better figure it out because I didn’t want a gift card. She immediately returned my money back onto my card easily with no issue. Beware of this store!! I will not be coming back that’s for sure !

The one attended was quite rude when asked to return brand new gloves for exchange, I was only able to get into the Downtown location for exchange because they are the only store said to have product but was blaintenly told they couldn't be found so im pretty much SOL, then was told because I was 2 days over the 100 day return policy (as I have been hard at work the past 85 days and couldn't make it into the exact store in time for exchange and was only 2 days over) but was told couldn't do anything... First you should have the gloves out of the box the store has lost? And being only 2 days over you would think they would still be able to help you out... not very impressed with Mark's in general, especially the DT location as the staff isn't very friendly nor helpful. Gladly will no longer be bringing my business here and will tell others. The westshore store has most certainly alot friendlier staff that love to go above and beyond! Brutal.
