12-09-2023 16:47We came for the Thanksgiving Buffet, Saturday Oct.7, 2023, and reserved a table by the window with a view of the river. The food was hot, plenty of choices from salads, to seafood (delicious chowder, finan haddie, salmon, jumbo shrimp, mussels, and the small lobster legs), roast beef, stuffed pork, mashed potatoes, roasted turnip u0026 carrots, plus numerous desserts. Our server, Tony, was friendly and attentive. Thank you! All in all it was a delicious meal We did not stay overnight so cannot comment on accommodations

09-07-2023 03:26We had a wonderful stay at Liscombe over Thanksgiving weekend. The cabins are rustic yet well appointed and ours had great privacy and a beautiful view. The staff we interacted with were pleasant and answered all our questions and the location is stunning. There is lots to do (pool, canoes, river boat cruise, hiking trails, restaurant, farm animals.....) We'll definitely be going back!

08-20-2023 14:05The rooms were nice, but there was no plug for the tub and the blow dryer sparked. We had a delicious breakfast and the staff, Chantel was exceptional. After checking out, we attempted to walk the trails as we paid, a fee unknown , for them. The trails were a mess. Poorly or rather unmarked, poor map to follow and you could definitely tell they hadn't been maintained in years. We went back to the Lodge to let the front desk person know. She dismissed us with a monotone yes yes. These trails are well advertised so if every person staying at this Lodge is charged the $15 maintenance fee I'm wondering where that money goes. Misappropriation of funds. This needs to be looked in to. I will definitely not be returning.

07-02-2023 20:37The room at Liscomb Lodge was nice and the beds comfortable. We had to request a plug for the bathtub and the blow dryer was sparking. The buffet breakfast was delicious and our waitress Chantel was wonderful and very attentive. The hiking trails were a huge disappointment! The front desk woman said she tells people that they are needing repair, however she neglected to tell us. The environmental fee of $15 on every person's bill should actually go to repairing the trails that are advertised on social media and in brochures. They are muddy, overgrown, and very poorly marked... so not worth it. I don't think I would stay here again

05-11-2023 13:21The hotel bungalows are pretty and clean. In the middle of nowhere, you basically have to dine and breakfast here, and also you dont have many things todo beside the resort - but the pools and hottubs are big and there are some other things todo there. In terms of food in the restaurant, its very good. The dining is well done, but you should reserve. The breakfast is awesome. The birds and squirrels outside as well as the diningroom itself create a relaxing atmosphere! Only problem is, as other people already written, the whole resort seems to be ran down by the owner(s) with only little money invested into maintenance. It would be a shame if it would stay like that.

04-15-2023 00:15Rented the Riverside jacuzzi Suite. Very disappointing to say the least. It's a bathtub with jets. No place to actually sit other than the bed and the toilet. Room is very small. The so called private suite is shared with 4 other rooms in the cabin. Could still see outside when the door was shut. Only thing that I can say that was really good is the food and the staff.

04-14-2023 16:36Stayed for two days in August. Rooms were a bit dated and in need of a refresher, but were clean and comfortable. Pool was nice, but games room was shabby and in need of new equipment. Reception and wait staff were friendly. Food was NOT good - nowhere close to what you would expect from a resort. Risotto came out molded to the shape of the container it was microwaved in; elk burger was obviously not fresh and over-cooked; baked brie was miniscule. Seems like a real missed opportunity, as there's not much else in the area. Hire an NSCC culinary grad and focus on fresh, local ingredients.
