YWCA Hotel Vancouver

A great value in an excellent location. I had a small, functional room with a shared hallway bathroom, but I never had to wait for any amenities including the underground parking garage (note that I was staying during the week and not on a weekend). The view I got was way nicer than I would've expected for the price of my room. The only downside was that I could hear a lot of hallway noise from my room and the A/C was pretty noisy too. Room was clean and tidy, and maintenance was quick to respond when I couldn't figure out how to turn on one of the features of my room. Benefiting a non-profit with my stay is a big bonus!

The hotel was very well located and provided affordable parking. We found that it was significantly cheaper than surrounding properties and offered good value. We enjoyed spending some time on the outside terrace on the 11th floor. On-site washing and drying machines were appreciated. It takes some time to get used to the concept of having a shared bathroom with the adjacent room.

The hotel was nice for my family and I. The staff was friendly, and the room was cleaned with beds made everyday. We were also allowed to check in early, which was a big plus. They also had a nice, open rooftop area to relax on. The location wasn’t the best, but wasn’t bad for the price. The Italian restaurant next store called Frankie’s was really good! The parking was a bit cramped and room was a little small, but overall it was a good stay.

The location is great. The room lay out was fine except I woke up scratching and I have red bumps on my legs and back. Also the room was unbelievably hot (26 degrees Celsius) and I turned on the fan which sounded like a jet engine for an hour and the temperature dropped by 1 degree. So if you don't mind bed bugs or sleeping in Tahiti then come hear. Staff were lovely and I left at 4:30am as I couldn't stand it any longer and when to the airport 7 hours early.

The facilities and room were very clean. Having secure, underground parking was definitely a plus! In general, the building is very secure: doors lock after 9pm and you need to use your card to get in or use the elevator! The bed was passably comfortable, but we slept just fine. The walls are pretty thin though, and you can hear your neighbors clearly. Bring earplugs or sound cancelling headphones if you have them. It's nothing fancy, but it works great for those wanting a nice place to stay for seeing a show or a game!

I chose this accommodation due to its central location and the reasonable rate, offering adequate amenities for my short stay. The room was clean and tidy, but what I appreciated most in my room were the high-quality toiletries (I even considered buying them for personal use). I love the hospitality of the staff. Such a pleasant experience!

Stayed here in August of 2023. We booked a private room with a queen bed and private bathroom. The hotel is nicely located and within easy walking distance to keep yourself entertained or even run out to grab a late night snack. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and everything was clean and well maintained. We only stayed 1 night as we had an cruise to catch and for this purpose it was perfect!

My cousin and I stayed one night at the hotel before we left on our Alaskan cruise. We essentially had one afternoon and one morning to explore Vancouver before our cruise. This hotel was perfectly located to enable us to see a lot in a short period of time. We stayed in a twin-bed room with a shared bathroom down the hall. Note that the shared bathroom is a single toilet, but we only had to wait once to use it on a weekday. Our room was immaculate as was all the common areas, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. Bonus: They kept our luggage for free after checkout while we spent the morning before our cruise visiting Chinatown and Gas Town and eating an amazing breakfast at Jam Cafe (recommended by the hotel staff). For the value and location (which was very safe), I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Plus, your money goes to a great cause. You can't beat that.
