Good things? Price was low. Car started and ran every time. Frank problems? Front fender and wheel well liner was loose, likely reflecting a collision that was never repaired or reported. Actually the car showed impact damage of one kind or another from all angles. Interior cloth seats were stained. Interior of windshield was partly obscured by waxy spots. I had to negotiate with the clerk to update the yellow paper showing existing external damage. These issues reflect questionable corporate ethics at best. Other negatives? I reserved a nice car, specifically avoiding reserving the type of car that was made available to me. In fact, there was a car like the one I had reserved, parked in their lot, but for whatever reason it was not available to me when I asked, and no discount was offered for the apparent downgrade. Neutral but notable were the location and additional services: the rental site was not convenient to the airport and the team was too busy to answer the phone when we had to call to request a shuttle. During both pick up and drop off, clerks were having fights with other customers over fees and contracts. I sat in the windy yet hot shuttle van in order to avoid the tension in the building. The clerk, with a helpful tone, also said that I should photograph all issues with the car before taking possession for my own protection, but I believe that should be the responsibility of the rental agency to use their cameras and knowledge of the car condition to document, and my role should be simply confirmatory. After a long journey to the rental agency and a timetable ahead of me, I should not have to meticulously document car problems. Comment on Expedia's services: this Fox agency came up when I sorted by price and availability of a good car. Of course, the vehicle condition was expected to be very good, when it was in fact poorly maintained and clearly damaged. Other comments shown here suggest that I am not alone in being let down by the promises made via Expedia, and their own inclusion of this renter suggests questionable business practices at that travel company as well.

This deserves 0 stars. Stay away. I had the worst experience i have ever had with Fox Rent A Car in Orlando. We waited for their shuttle to pick us up at the airport for 3 hours!!! Eventually a competitor had to shuttle us to get our rental car from Fox. After reviewing my bill when we got to our resort, I noticed many extra charges on my bill and had to drive back (2 hrs round trip) to fox just for there to be more complications. We had to drive back 3 times during our trip (on our honeymoon too) due to mistakes and charges made on their end. After all of that I was charged 3x the amount on my bill to my credit card. When I called to question the charges I kept getting hung up on. I have still not received the refund that I was told I would get and it’s been a month. Also the “hold” on your account is actually a charge and there are many hidden fees. This company takes your money and has the worst customer service I have ever seen. I will never deal with this company again.

If zero was an option it would be! Starting with the shuttle from airport pickup to offsite location was HORRIBLE the phone you use to call them. They never answer. I had to look up a direct number to fox and the transferred me. They said 10 mins. 30 mins latter and at 9pm at night. They show up in what looks like a kidnapper van. No joke! Customer service was the worst we have ever seen at a location. Cars were dented with only a half tank of gas. We were charged more than was quoted through Expedia. And even with our own insurance they charge you $1000 on your card. So beware if your cards balance isn't high enough. I watched them argue with customers about that issue. When returning the car. They make you wait to before they check over the car. Not like other places where you pull up and go. After finally getting it checked. Had to wait another 45 mins for the shuttle to get back to the airport. I had to ask them 3 times where's the shuttle. He kept saying 10 mins, 10 mins 10 mins. I think that's all he knew how to say. They operate as a Fox and Economy car rental company. And have different prices for the same cars. After calling Fox with a complaint they told me that this company isn't even part of Fox or Economy. They are a second party subsidiary who uses there names. So any complaint goes to the company your complaining about. Waste of time and doesn't care about your or good business. SAVE YOURSELF TIME, MONEY, AND HEADACHES! Rent from budget, Alamo, Thrifty or somewhere else.

I wish there was zero stars! I rented from here and arrived to Toronto after 24 hours in the air. After finally finding their pickup spot which is not very convenient i waited over an hour to finally see the driver who then took people who just arrived and filled the van. I waited again and finally arrived to the office 25 minutes later. After waiting another 15 minutes i was finally at the desk where i was greeted very unfriendly. I gave my rental info and my was asked about insurance. I advised i had it on my card for rentals and had the policy. I was told they don't accept this from my region even. I advised i'm covered but they would not accept and wanted me to pay $45 a day for coverage which would triple my rental cost. I advised them it was a joke and left. I also heard them tell the couple next to me that they charge $12 a day if you have your own insurance and they accept it. So you pay for your own insurance and pay them $12 a day for nothing. This place is a scam, its bait and switch and they should be shut down. AVOID at all costs, walk, run or rent a camel. It would be an upgrade from their service.

After 1 day, had a flat tire, replaced with donut, went to a tire shop to get it fixed. They refused to fix the tire, said it was bald and unsafe. They gave us a replacement at no charge. When we returned the car, they gave us a $50.00 credit, rather funny considering they got a tire out of the deal. Communication was horrible when we tried calling for assistance, virtually left on our own. Insurance slip in car showed insurance had expired a month previously. Rather concerning. Having a hard time giving them 1 star, but have to do that in order to post. Would never go back to Fox. Also car not very clean.

Prepared to add 30% to your agreed-upon rental. Their old and dirty cars are accompanied by hidden fees and highly impersonal service. I would ride a bus before I rented from this questionable business again. if I could give them zero stars, I would.

I had a pretty good experience with Fox Rent A Car -- we didn't have to pay for the rental in advance, and the car was made available to us relatively promptly. I booked through Priceline. Unfortunately, we did not get the car we selected during the rental booking (I selected a Dodge Charger, which is a premium car and we were provided with a Hyundai Sonata, which is pretty standard). The car did have some external cosmetic damage. There was a fee for using my own car insurance ($4.99/day), which was not indicated when I reserved online. We tried calling several times on Sunday afternoon to extend the time of our rental, and no one picked up. On the bright side, despite returning the car 3 hours after the predicted time, the clerk graciously waived a fee and we were not fined for late return. He also gave us 90 extra kilometres in the allotted mileage (200km/day).

DO NOT RENT FROM FOX. They gave me a car that was unsafe. The alignment was shot. What was worse, was the rear lights did not work. I kept getting flashed by other motorists in and around Denver. After learning I had no rear lights, I was unable to drive at night. Unfortunately, I got a chip in the windshield from a rock that got kicked up by a semi. They put in a claim for $700 after assuring me they would take the vehicle off the road because it was not safe. $150 of that claim is for an administration fee. Summary: the vehicles are not safe, the staff is shady, and I would highly recommend going with anyone other than them.
