An excellent place to stay in Sydney if you want to be in the middle of the action. Right by the quay, moments from the Opera House and Botanical Gardens and with plenty of eating options right outside the door. Out only complaint if you could call it that would be that things such as check out time, the free drink vouchers etc could have Ben a little better explained to us upon checking in, rather than us having us chase the information. However, this didn't impact it stay.

This place has so much promise. I had the pleasure of communicating with Sammy (She's an assistant manager) who was courteous, professional and proficient. This is everything you expect from a high end hotel. However, the rooms were dated and some staff were not 5 star. The location of this establishment is amazing. It's minutes from all the sydney sights. I hope to go back when certain upgrades have been made to the building and front of house. If everyone acted like Sammy and certain improvements were made then this place would really be special. Thank you Sammy for your diligent work ethic.

On check in, the customer service was fantastic. Our room was lovely looking over the harbour, and had everything we needed. Drinks in the bar and some light snacks were lovely and customer service was again very good. Compared to the standard of the rest of the hotel however, and for the premium price you are paying, the gym and around the pool area are a bit run down. There were broken tiles and a massive opening into the ceiling and an air vent near the pool which looked like it shouldn't be like that. Customer service on check out was really poor which let down our visit.

I was so excited for this weekend away and our experienced turned out poor. 1. I didn’t want valet parking but they didn’t even give me the option to park my own car.. they then charged me $75 to drive it downstairs not to be touched all weekend to then be charged another $75 to bring it back up on check out. Absolutely ridiculous prices to park my car when I didn’t even want this done. 2. No robes in our room when we arrived I called housekeeping over 5 times both days for no answer and it seemed like they kept hanging up the phone. I called reception to tell them and they just said what did I want and they’d get it for me. I got towels but no robes at all. Our room also didn’t get cleaned and the bathroom was quite dusty. The wallpaper in our room was also peeling off. 3. The service was terrible over the phone with just how they spoke and communicated. 4. We also got charged for something at breakfast when we were told breakfast was included in our final cost. 5. Upon check out the lady said we had to pay for our accomodation which in fact was paid a month prior to our stay. If I wasn’t on the ball I could of paid again. 6. My partner asked for rose petals to be put on the bed upon arrival for my birthday and when we arrived this wasn’t there regardless of all the correspondence from the staff that this would be done. overall I’m super disappointed with this place, I won’t be staying again and I wouldn’t recommend it.

My visit was to celebrate my daughters wedding. The ceremony was in the Hacienda Lounge with a stunning backdrop and wonderful ambience. Dinner was in Q dining. The food was delicious and staff wonderful. The rooms were wonderful and much bigger than I anticipated. The views from the balcony were spectacular and I could have just sat watching the harbour all day. We will be back.

I recently stayed at the Quay Grand Sydney Hotel and was disappointed with my experience. While the decor and general maintenance of the hotel remain the same as they were 23 years ago, there were several issues that marred our stay. One of the toilets in our room appeared to have yellow urine stains on the seat. Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be yellow dried bubble stains, which still raised concerns about cleanliness. We decided to order breakfast through room service and called an hour later to check on the status of our order. We were told it would be with us soon. However, after waiting for 1.5 hours, we called again, and they claimed it was only 5-10 minutes away. This delay was frustrating, especially on Father's Day. Close to two hours later, we received a call saying there was a problem with the system, and they asked if we still wanted the breakfast. Unfortunately, we had no more time left as we had to rush to the airport. When we brought up our concerns with the front desk reception, their excuse was that they were busy with Father's Day. In my opinion, a 5-star hotel should have anticipated increased demand on special occasions and ensured adequate staffing. This experience left a sour taste in our mouths, considering the high cost of staying here. Regrettably, I cannot recommend the Quay Grand Sydney Hotel based on my recent visit. We won't be returning, and we will make sure to share our disappointing experience with our friends to prevent them from facing similar frustrations.

What a disappointment. On check in our room - had no robes - had no coat hangers - sofa bed was unmade which was disappointing as we checked in just before midnight - no blanket for sofa bed. had to sleep with sheet only - no room service menu. when we asked for one the concierge said ‘just use mini bar’ (which we didn’t) Then next morning. The following happened: - kitchen tap didn’t work - bathroom flooded We had to be moved to a new suite Entered new suite Friday morning. All looked good. We had robes, blankets, linen, coat hangers and room service menu. All looking okay. Went out for the day, came home to this: - housekeeping had not been to clean the suite; and - air conditioner not working and suite was like an oven. maintenance came to look at and had to turn on via the main switch I am extremely disappointed with my experience so far, especially in light of the price I have paid and for a 5 star establishment. I would like someone to contact me about this as reception staff do not care Rooms and view are great, but nothing else unfortunately!
