08-29-2023 20:17Oh man, talk about well worth the wait! Michelle Vernier is a highly respected chef and the Portland community, and Lents could not be luckier to have Bella’s in the neighborhood. Their soft opening was complete with delicious pastries, fresh brewed coffee and espresso, and Steven Smith Tea (which, as a tea drinker, I was super excited to see them carry!) Cookies, blueberry tarts, a delicious flaky apple pastry that I’m not even going to try to spell, fresh baked bread, almond tea cakes...all present in this first day. I shared the apple pastry, the tea cake, and the blueberry tart – all as delicious as I remember from Vernier’s days at Lents international farmers market. Her pastries are perfectly balanced with fresh bold flavors and just the right amount of sweetness. The space is clean, welcoming, and really adorable! The team at Bella’s has carefully curated antique items that fit perfectly in the café. I can’t wait for wine, antipasti, and lots of chats with family and friends after the grand opening. This is definitely not a spot to miss!

06-16-2023 22:15We stopped for a quick pick-me-up snack and coffee, and were rewarded with a fantastic experience. The shop is clean and well-lit; the staff is welcoming and knowledgeable. My Breakfast Slider, sub arugula for salami, featured a small herbed frittata, provolone, and Calabrian chile mayo (major yum) on a toasted sesame bun. The Caprese Sandwich was nice - moz just doesn’t get any fresher! The Sweet Roll was probably the best thing I put in my mouth all day. You owe it to yourself to pay this place a visit.

06-08-2023 00:47Interesting blend of a coffeehouse and Italian bakery. The location is popular in the neighborhood but food and drink service can be a bit mixed on when you get both your food and or beverage. Expect wait times to be about 5-10 minutes before you’re able to order.. Small storefront with limited indoor seating but those not able to find a seat inside, can look to several outside tables.

05-11-2023 16:25Got the Train Wreck sandwich, the foccacia bread was incredible. Ordered an apricot pastry, not very sweet, perfect texture. The pumpkin pie cookie was small but might in flavor. The decaf macchiatto was sour so I traded it in for a regular mocha. The service is excellent. I need to come back u0026 try the cannoli. I'm always on the quest to find the best cannoli.
