Baker & Spice

Happened upon this little gem. I love baked goods. Got a small variety and everything was delicious. Great prices that won't disappoint. They sell out of items so get there early. Can't wait to go back.

Simply the best. Everything here is excellent, pastries, cookies, bread, Sandwiches, breakfast croissant, etc etc. fortunately don’t live in Portland anymore or would truly overindulge. Go whenever we visit tho:) have been going to them before they even had a brick and mortar location, when they were doing their amazing hand pies at the Portland farmers market:) and I am so happy they have only gotten better and better. And I find their staff very nice, harried as they are quite busy but always helpful and accommodating, and can’t wait to check out the cakery, as they also make amazing amazing cakes:) highest recommendation

The only place I’ve found for delicious crumb cake that’s close to how I remember it from the East Coast. It’s also simply a wonderful bakery overall with great folks behind the counter. I’m not naturally a morning person, but they make mornings worthwhile.

Everything baked fresh. The Katie Bun is a light u0026 airy pastry that pulls apart, melts in your mouth u0026 tastes like a cinnamon slice of perfection. Highly recommend!

If you ask me what is my favorite bakery in town - Baker and Spice are the first to come to my mind. I trust their quality and it’s simply the best. Savory galettes are to die for and their pudding is so soft and fresh and not super sweet just how I like it. 🤍

I just made a purchase at Baker and Spice. I really appreciate the staff taking all precautions to NOT touch their products, using tissues, tongs and plastic bags. I don't appreciate the owner (a gray haired gentleman) using his bare hands to deliver bread to the storefront shelves. He touched every loaf. Haven't we all learned a few things about viruses and germs? Perhaps he could learn a few things from his ever diligent staff. Owners should follow rules, too. Is Baker and Spice losing touch (pun intended)?
