The Galt House Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

Nice hotel but had a bit of a maintenance issue regarding the toilet and bath tub. The issue clearly wasn't their fault but guests next door. Maintenance guy was very nice and fixed it fast. They knocked off my parking fee because of the issue and I was happy about that. My only complaints are the sheets, tiny fridge lack of microwave. The sheets were like shower curtains. Other than that, very nice place. The first couple pics below are from the 19th floor facing west.

The beds were horribly uncomfortable and the comforter was not a comforter. It was like a hospital bed sheet with a towel like blanket between another sheet. Every time someone moved in the bed it was like paper crumpling sound which did not help with us all falling asleep. The service was good and the rooms were nice but I really need a good bed when staying away from home. Also, a decent pillow would have been nice as well. I have edited this review to add a couple more things: 1. If you need coffee before 7am there is no where to get it unless you leave the hotel. A Starbucks is located in the hotel but this is not a true Starbucks even tho it’s advertised that way. So beware when ordering. 2. You will have to pay for parking in the parking garage. Our stay was one night and it was $22.00. 3. If you stay on the west side of the hotel we never had anyone at our front desk other than check-in. All employees were on the east side of the hotel’s front desk. I would suggest to the hotel to take one of those 4 employees to the West side for check outs. We just called the front desk for our needs and checked out at the other side. Not a big inconvenience but would’ve been nice to have an employee on our side as well. Overall even though service was good I would not stay here again due to the uncomfortable bed :(

Room/view of the river/locks/dam area was really nice. We did need to ask for an alternate room, because the first one had a very strong cigar oder, and there was no river view as we were promised. Beds were nice, firm and yet soft with fluffy pillows! Nice bathroom too..

I nearly missed out on this fantastic room, but a quick check on ʜᴏᴛᴇʟᴅᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ made all the difference. We just returned from our trip here this past weekend. Our room was clean and spacious, the beds were very comfortable. Checking in and finding parking was quick and easy. The elevators were super fast and had a windowed wall, so going up and down them was pretty cool. The restaurants and bars on site are all great and are definitely worth a visit (or two!) The location is easy to get to and within walking distance of many attractions. We will definitely be staying here if we ever find ourselves in Louisville again. Thank you for the hospitality!

This has been such a wonderful stay. You really can’t get any better. It is so centrally located. You can walk to so many places on 4th street live. The staff is spectacular. I had one small issue during my stay and the staff had it corrected within minutes of my call to the front desk. Kudos to you Galt house. I am a picky person when it comes to hotels, and am so impressed with my stay. Hands down, you win. I will definitely be back.
