Safeway

It's a Safeway, but not a lot of organic options and has limited supplies due to the size. They only had one brand of dry shampoo which isn't a big deal just annoying. Okay self checkout, but weirdly loud. The voice kept announcing everything very loudly and nothing scanned on the first try and then the voice would say very loudly are you done? or something. It's not my fault you need to press the item against the scanner. It's okay for a quick trip but I would go somewhere else to be honest.

The review is responding to a woman cashier. I bought a lot of stuff, but she didn’t offer any help at all. I said I had coupon but I don’t know how to use it and she didn’t say anything. At last the system did not go through my coupon at all. She did ask me if I need any bag (as process required I guess). I said no because I brought my own backpack and a large grocery bag. And I loaded all the stuff by myself. Finally I found out I still need a bag so I took one Safeway bag. At the moment I stepped out the Safeway, she called me and said next time I need to pay 5 cents for that bag. She is not helpful at all and gives you a strong vibe of obliviousness 😅

A supermarket excels when flow is maximized and this one often seems to relish hindering flow. They rarely have more than one checker who scans your groceries which I would not begrudge if the self scanners were all going. Most often, however, they have 2 or more of the 6 down and a light flashing for service as a tired employee looks on.

Nice clean grocery store. I got lunch at the deli. The chicken tenders were a little dry, but the wedge fries were pretty good.

Interesting, in city, miniature, Safeway. The employees are friendly, the self checkout is clean and quick, the store is amazingly well laid out. Even though less than half the size of the usual store I found all I needed, fast.
