Gramercy Wine & Spirits

Great medium sized shop with one of the best Riesling selections in the city, perhaps the best as far as reasonably priced bottles go (they have about 40 and none are over $60). I have traveled here from Brooklyn just to grab a few bottles of amazing dry Riesling. I can safely recommend the Weedenborn Trocken at $16 for an amazing deal, as well as the Spreitzer Rosengarten GG if you want to treat yourself at $38. You really can't go wrong though, as wine geeks have plenty of the best German and Austrian producers to choose from including Diel, Ott, and Hiedler to pick a few.

The kind, knowledgeable, patient staff and wonderful collections mean that each visit is an education and a success.

Used to live in the area and this was my go-to shop. They offer a great selection of liquor (especially whiskey) at very reasonable prices for NYC. Andy is very professional and knowledgeable and has helped me select some great wines at all different price points. I stop by whenever I'm in the area to stock up.

I was searching for a particular bottle of whiskey and came across their website which showed it was in stock. I called and spoke with Andy expecting that it would be sold out. To my surprise they did have one bottle left which i bought immediately and for a small gratuity had it delivered locally the same day. He was extremely knowledgeable and courteous and their prices are very reasonable. I would highly recommend checking this place out.

Nice set-up and clean but there’s an employee working there in dire need of customer service and interpersonal communication skills training (tall, Caucasian with dark curly hair). This employee seems to always be disgruntled, gets flustered easily when you ask questions or ask for help and makes unnecessary sarcastic remarks. During my last visit (10/7), his attitude was so atrocious, I had to walk away and seek help from another employee who was helpful and courteous (Hispanic) and asked if the guy up front was ok.

This place is a true gem. They have an incredible collection with rare findings. Andy is very knowledgeable and great to talk to. Recently I was on the hunt for a specific wine and he was able to custom order six bottles for me. Can't recommend more! Prices are fair too. This will definitely forever be my go to spot in NYC!

It's really nice lequer store. I really liked the choices of wine and lequer. Yesterday, I just visited the store just to change my 100$. I was in rush, definitely I didn't cared about my own tone of voice or lack of smile in my face. But the person, who charged me, perhaps had a reason to say I was rude, and asked me not to ever come back. I ended up buying a cocktail, and at some point I just brought up words like I will just check some other places too. That's probably pissed him off more. You know, after such a conversation, I wanted to leave the cocktail and take my 100$ cash back and search for some other places. However, the person who charged me, has no idea what I am going through in life. For the future reference, if you're reading my comments: If you don't like a certain costumers like me, (with the same problem: lack of change) just say no. And before saying anything, recall times when you were a student yourself. You don't deserve loosing potential costumers due to my comments. And I hope you, will be considerative at the end of the day, about other person's life. I don't drink alcohol at all. But I really needed a change. You can take my words how ever you want. But you cannot change facts. And throughout my presence, I haven't said nothing bad about you. And yet, I heard enough from you. And if you feel I am wrong, ask other people too. I am leaving five stars for the choice of alcoholic beverages. And still I haven't said, nothing harmful about you.
