12-07-2023 15:44UPDATE: After a redo and a begrudged, condescending lecture about leather care, they finally refunded my payment, and I told them to keep the jacket because it was useless to me in the condition it was in. I wish they would have explained the expected outcome before I trusted them with it. Don't go here. u003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003du003d I was really excited to bring a leather jacket here that was beautiful, soft and supple but had some armpit stains. Before they “cleaned” it. I paid $58 upfront (required) to clean it and got back a wrinkly, shiny jacket leather that looks like vinyl! It had been painted a slightly darker color (and you can still see the armpit stains) and there are drips of the paint or glaze they used on the label inside and on the paperwork. It also looks like the hems were undone. It is horrible and my jacket is ruined! I tried to resolve this with a phone call but never received a call back after leaving a voicemail. They boasted about being the only leather cleaner in the twin cities and that every other cleaner uses them. It’s clear they do not care about their retail customers.

07-12-2023 21:55Excellent service and excellent cleaning. I brought a rug to them that was very old and dirty. it had pet stains too, and it smelled. they were so kind and helpful when I brought it in, and they gave me a call a few days later when it was ready to be picked up. It looks brand new! They did a fantastic job on it! They charge $2 per square foot which seems perfectly reasonable to me. I would absolutely go there again!

07-08-2023 10:10Very disappointed if I could give zero stars I would. I bought my purse to be professionally clean inside and out. I paid up front $74 and some change. They called me a week later to tell me that my purse was ready. The guy at the front desk said that they had cleaned it inside and out. I did not inspect the purse me trusting their service when I get home. I realize that my purse hadn't been cleaned, The inside and outside was still dirty and it smelled like old pennies. I called and spoke with the manager. He offered to clean the purse again or other item for me. He also asked to see before and after pictures but who's thinking about doing before and after pictures. I did take an after picture of what they did not do but by this point the trust has been broken and all I want is my money back.

07-03-2023 04:17They cleaned/waterproofed an almost new pair of Redwing boots and when I picked them up there was a huge liquid stain on each boot. Asked Mickey what happened, and he said a solvent had stained them. He sent out a manager who basically yelled in my face and said it was my fault. Pretty shocking experience. They re-cleaned them but it didn't fix the damage. If you read the other one star reviews, you'll see there's a trend of damaging a customer's shoes/purses and then berating them afterwards and refusing to take responsibility. Pretty strange practice. Your manager's behavior will make me never return. Save yourself the headache and go someplace other than Don's

05-03-2023 22:50Do NOT use Don’s Rug Laundry for cleaning your rugs! At the end of July I took our custom bound dining room rug to Woodbury Cleaners as they are the intermediary between consumers and Don’s Rug Laundry. Our dog had gotten sick on one corner of the rug, and I wanted it cleaned. Other than that one- time incident, this rug was in pristine condition as we have probably used our dining room table ten times in the last seven years. After picking up the rug 3 weeks later, at a cost of more than $200, we placed it on the rug pad only to discover that our rug had shrunk significantly. The previous size was 108 x 96 inches and was now 103 x 93 inches - a significant difference of 5 and 3 inches. We were devastated because beyond this shrinkage (we had this rug cut and bound to fit our specific space) one end of the rug was wrinkled and bubbly. We brought it back to Woodbury Cleaners and were told they would be able to restore it to its original size. They ended up having our rug for 6 weeks the second time, and when we brought it home it had improved by ½ of an inch on one side. However, beyond the shrinkage the most disappointing part of this is that they burned our rug on the wrinkled side and now the rug has a yellow tint on that side and the two corners are burned and disintegrated (in pieces). Don’s is taking no responsibility for this damage, and at this point I am unable to get a response from my contact at Woodbury Cleaners. I have been told that Don’s has a monopoly on rug cleaning in the Twin Cities which is why I am sure they do not care that they have shrunk and burned a beautiful rug. I want others to know so they can be aware of what to expect when they use Don’s Rug Laundry.

05-01-2023 03:11The Rudest Most condescending Person answered my call. I said Good morning how are you doing. The response : yea ok what do you want. I was taken aback and hesitated for a second and then said I was referred to your location by…. They cut me off saying We only have one location what is it. I said I am sorry sir but I need a minute you wer very rude and they just hung up. Have to say that’s some excellent customer service there.
