10-30-2023 14:16I was really looking forward to eating here, the scenery is nice and the hotel has a good look and feel to it...especially the rooftop bar. However, I would NOT recommend the restaurant. The menu was pretty limited, perhaps 15 offerings... which isn't a big deal. I figured with the limited offering, the choices would be delicious. My wife and I both ordered the Ribeye. The steak was literally the worst steak I've ever had... no flavor at all. I am vehemently against using any sauce on a steak but given the opportunity this steak would have gone down the A-1 river. My wife's steak was horribly undercooked... she ordered it medium cooked and this thing was ready to walk off the plate. I never complained to the staff...I rarely do. I'm sure they would done something about it... but It's not my style. If you go... steer clear of the steak... perhaps the other menu items would be a better value. I don't think I'll be returning... they're much better dining options in Rockford.

08-20-2023 23:19The views are great, the drinks were good, the food was meh. The pretzel with beer cheese was extremely salty and the cheese was not stirred after they heated it so it was separated. The chicken wings were so rubbery they were inedible. The peppers with buratta was bland and the peppers were not cooked. Quite disappointing. Definitely not an urban hip spot, too stuck on OWPs when they have the potential to really make this place a booming spot.

06-08-2023 06:17This is the Bar/Restaurant located on the top 12th floor of the Embassy Suites downtown in Rockford. Nobody takes your order- you are given a menu of what they serve, you order your drinks from the Bar, and either sit inside or walk out onto the Rooftop Open Deck. I've never stayed here so I can't comment on the Rooms, or what service is provided if you stay. Lowest price on the menu was $15.00- I honestly wasn't impressed with the menu @ all. The same applies to the Menu of the entrance level. Open concept of the Rooftop Deck is quite nice, various Firepits placed along w/comfortable outdoor furniture 2 sit on, if you prefer an outside table ? They are adjacent to the entrance onto the Rooftop Deck. It's quite large. The pic of the stairs is in here because the 11th floor open lounge area allows ppl to switch between the 12th u002611th outdoor Rooftop Decks. On the 11th level it's a bit more private, not as large but still very nice to sit and enjoy. Glass of Wine is $9.00, bottle of Beer is $6.50. Believe their draft Beer is the same price. We decided to eat from the Restaurant located on the Entry level of the building. Again, not impressed with the selection of items, what did impress me was the portion sz of whatever you do order. You will definitely walk away w/a take home container. Unfortunately my Breaded Pork on a Brioche bun was overcooked. My friends salad looked delicious and I believe 3 ppl could've eaten from that salad and been satisfied. It's a great place to go to relax, look down @ the City and beyond. There aren't any Sun shades, sails, or Patio Umbrellas so keep in mind if your there during a Sunny Day? Don't 4get your sunglasses and sunscreen. As for the menu choices asking what I'd recommend? I only saw 2 of the 16+ items that are listed. Expect to pay $.50 more for your Beer and $1.00 more for glass of Wine in the ground level Restaurant. I'll also say there was nobody to greet you as you enter the Restaurant to seat U, we approached the Bartender whom after we asked if we could be seated for dinner looked at us and asked Where did you get your drinks from? Apparently he wasn't aware or was I can't say- that we were told we could take our drinks downstairs to have in the main Restaurant. Tad odd but I understood when I realized the price difference between the Tower bar and Main level Restaurant. The Bartender was our Waitstaff. He wasn't pleasant, we both felt we'd been admonished. He seated us. Turned away w/o a word. After 5-8min ? He returned to take our order which was a shock 2 us both because he was suddenly very cordial. Just saying. I'd recommend hanging out up there- I'm sure it's nice during the night as well. We were there on a Thursday early evening around 4pm. Hardly anyone there. Great place to hang out and relax.

04-23-2023 23:42We are locals and decided to try eating at the restaurant here. There seem to be two eateries here - one at the top of the building and one on the lower level. Some other guests told us that the top floor is just appetizers and drinks, where the lower level has dinners. So, we went to the lower level. For some reason the staff here doesn't seem to smile much. The person at the front counter got us seated, but wasn't particularly friendly. Our server took our drink and dinner orders and stopped by to check on us a few times but also was not very pleasant. To be clear, no one was unpleasant to us but I'm a pretty outgoing person and I had an impossible time getting anyone to be friendly. Now, for the food. The special tonight was BBQ ribs. I'm not sure what type of ribs they were but they were huge and almost all bone. I really had to work hard to find any meat and the meat that I did find was a very, very tough. The ribs came with fries, potato salad, coleslaw, and a roll. All of the food, to me, tasted like pretty run of the mill buffet food, although this was not a buffet. I guess to say something positive, the drinks were pretty good.

04-23-2023 05:01The presentation of the food was lovely, and that is about it. While the food was good, it didn't wow. The burger was a little overcooked, and the fries and chips were over seasoned. The drink, on the other hand, was excellent. The service was also very nice. What helps this restaurant the most is the ambiance. It is a nice place to go and relax.
