10-12-2023 01:40I like their coffee and the cafe layout. There is ample space between tables compared to Starbucks. The new standard is quickly becoming independent roasters with a retail presence. Sergi told me their coffee comes from his plantation in Colombia. There is no middle man, therefore there is complete control over quality from the plants to your cup of Joe. Nice. This was my first visit. Good first impression.

10-11-2023 06:03Sergi Coffee is nestled away on the corner of Sunrise Service Rd South which I would think would make it a bit more trafficked, but I must've came in on a quiet day. I ordered a cappuccino and was surprisingly well balanced with the flavorful house roasted espresso. In addition the whole milk was frothed perfectly, which is hard to come by on Long Island besides the specialty coffee hang outs. Also have Turkish coffee which I will have to try next time. A specialty not found outside of Turkish restaurants on LI.

06-22-2023 11:02Absolutely love this coffee shop, love that we can get local coffee that isn't Starbucks and is WAY better quality. Service in here is so nice and prices are decent, you get what you pay for. However I feel like every time I try to go here they're closed. What kind of coffee shop opens at 9am Sunday morning? Why can't we grab an evening cup of coffee for a sunset ride to the beach? Hours are a real bummer. That aside, love their coffee.

04-21-2023 01:06The fact that this company has received four stars says more about the customers than it does the company. 1. The grouchy woman at the counter. Several reviews mention her, and for good reason. She spoils the experience in the shop. Why have someone interact with the public who has a bad attitude?!? Is that really the best face of the company? I don't care if the coffee is the best in the world; she alone is a reason never to return. 2. Another reason not to patronize the company is the knowledge of the staff. One of the other workers up front had no idea when the coffee in the bags had been roasted. And the best I could tell, the company roasts its coffee once a week or less. That completely defeats the purpose of a public roaster. By the time you pick up a bag, the beans inside could be spoiled from age. Roasted beans are only good 10-21 days maximum. 3. The vacuum seal is garbage. The bag I purchased had air in it and the freshness of the beans is debatable. 4. The beans themselves are just okay. The resulting coffee is smoother than Starbucks. However, a huge drawback is that they don't brew properly. A customer must add far more beans than necessary to result in a properly brewed pot. My first try resulted in lightly colored water. 5. The price. $20 for a standard bag of substandard whole beans is a ripoff. To sum up, this company is not ready for business. Just because someone has opened a shop doesn't make it one that can reach its stated goals or the public's expectations. If you're looking for even a halfway decent roaster, this is not it.

04-06-2023 01:50The Turkish coffee I ordered (my first time ordering this, mind you) was excellent. They explained it perfectly, and it was smooth as butter. Flavorful, lightly sweet (just as ordered) and hot! The girl working at the front was as polite as ever - one of the nicest interactions I've ever had at a coffee shop. The banana nut muffin I ordered was great too. All around an excellent experience - highly recommended!
