07-15-2023 22:58We made sure to stop in and visit this store while we were in Illinois from Arizona. My spouse is a long time patron as he shopped here as a teenager in the 80’s so visiting here when we visit Chicago is like reliving a childhood memory for him as he would travel from Kankakee with his friends in the 80’s to shop this rockin store. We are happy to see it thrive. We made sure to get photos of his shopping experience from our recent visit during our trip. We can’t wait to fly back to Illinois to share this epic experience with our grown daughters who want to worship the wall of shoes found here too! Wicked kool!

06-11-2023 09:28Customer service is on point. They let me know quickly an item I ordered was out of stock. Bought their leather moto- bombers jacket and love it. The leather is thick and quality. I like that it has a zip-in/out liner . The selling point for me was the two CCW pockets. Over all, this store is great and I look forward to doing business with them many times over. Keep doing what you're doing.

05-24-2023 21:51Super cool place here in Chicago. Like I told the employees, we don’t have anything like this where I live so it was so cool to see all of the alternative style fits. The employees were friendly and attentive, and helped me pick the right leather jacket. Came with a free flannel! Also got a super pretty iridescent dress. Wish I lived in Chicago so I could shop here all the time!

05-20-2023 20:07My memories of The Alley date back many many years. I was there several times way back in the early to mid '80s when they were in the location closer in the city. There has been so many changes in recent years that I've now read about and my kids were excited to go as they were looking for alternative clothing and merchandise and had seen them advertised online. Since we were going to be in town they really wanted to stop by and I'm glad we were able to get there. It seems strange to me driving there and it was so much further north and in what is more of a residential neighborhood. The building they are currently in is humongous but the retail part is just a small section of it. To me it feels like it's bigger on the inside than the old one but the people that remember the old one from it's more recent years think this space is smaller. Walking in the door you are immediately assaulted by so many of the things that they have available and you can't help but stop and look and try not to miss any. Lots of unusual items, jewelry, clothing, leather and more. My kids were really excited to see all the boots that they had available and purchases were made. No one kid found some clothing they like this fit and they both picked out an assortment of other items. I was able to resist making a purchase myself but there were actually some things that I thought would be cool to have or would make some good gifts for people I know. It's sad because there aren't more stores like this around so you have to really hunt to normally find things. What makes The Alley nicer is that there is so much in one location.

04-24-2023 14:15Awesome place! So many unusual finds and designs. Lots of leather and vegan leather to choose from, jewelry, and fashion accessories. When I say there are tons of high-quality items to choose from I mean there's a reason I've been coming here for over 30 years. And I've recently learned that you can also order online and they will ship to you. But nothing will ever beat the in-store experience of visiting the alley in Chicago on Belmont. Parking is kinda iffy, so there's a few spaces available in the lot next door to the building but that's it. Hopefully with the expansion that will be addressed more.
