Texas Sleep and TMJ Solutions

My sleep apnea is considered severe, and a few years ago i had a lot of trouble adjusting to a BiPap machine, and eventually just gave up on it. I was still not sleeping well so was referred to Dr. McDavid - he and his staff are so caring and kind, and well informed. It has taken several iterations and a little experimentation with the correct appliance but they were patient and supportive through it all, and I am within normal limits now, of apnea episodes/night and sleeping much better. What I love about this office is that I am treated as a whole person, not just one issue - I have other health issues that we have discussed, and how they can be linked to sleep apnea. Dr. McDavid never rushes through things and takes time to discuss my entire health history. I cannot say enough good things about the whole staff at Texas Sleep and TMJ solutions! If you don't want to or are not able to use a CPAP, BiPap, etc, give them a try - I am sure you will be happy with the attention you get, and the results.

The absolute BEST experience I've had at any healthcare office! Each member of the team from the front desk to both Dr. Hui and McDavid is stellar. They take the time to make sure you understand the process and your options and they both have an amazing bedside manner! The office is clean and calm and I never had a wait time. I wish all my experiences with doctor offices could be like Texas Sleep Solutions!

After I chewed through yet another TMJ night guard, my regular dentist suggested I might have sleep apnea and referred me to Texas Sleep and TMJ Solutions. I never knew that there was such a thing as Oral Appliance Therapy (a fancy name for a specially fitted night guard) that could take the place of a CPAP. I called the office and they took care of everything with my insurance and getting me set up for a home sleep study. After the sleep study confirmed sleep apnea, Dr Hui did a great job explaining my options and getting me fitted for a temporary appliance. It took a couple tries to find the right style of night guard that would work for me. Melissa spent a lot of time and attention adjusting mine to make it comfortable. Dr. McDavid has been great at answering all my questions. I’ve never felt like he is in a hurry or too busy for me. His goal is to get you to have the most comfortable appliance, that you will consistently use, that gives you the best results. Emily at the front desk is a super star employee and a great communicator! The process of getting the setting right on your night guard may take some time, and she has been there checking in with me every week. She mails me replacement bands so I don’t have to make a drive in to the office. And I have not had any issues with my insurance at all because she had taken care of all the paperwork. Another big plus is that the appointments consistently run on time and I don’t have to spend time in the waiting room. Overall, great customer service from everyone in the practice!

The staff is fabulous!! Every single step has been thoroughly explained to me then they made sure I understood it. They followed up with me to ensure it was fitting correctly and to see if I had any questions. They are totally a 5 star office for card and support.
