07-22-2023 17:12It was fine, nothing extraordinary. Their food wasn’t extremely authentic nor was it enough to be upscale Mexican food. This food is somewhere in between. We shared the 3 course meal and chose the tomato soup, chicken mole poblano entree with a pork tamale, and the pineapple tamale for dessert. The mole sauce was good, but the soup could have been more flavorful. Overall the best thing was the pineapple tamale as it wasn’t too sweet and all the flavors worked well together. Everything felt like it needed a bit more flavor, and I would have appreciated it more if the tortilla chips were homemade as well as the tortillas, or if there was a little more flavor and power in the pork tamale soup, and mole sauce.

06-28-2023 13:06Greatest sit-down and cheap place. I want all my friends to know about it, $2 tamales are so great and the owners backstory… is precious. I saw him once every 3 weeks or so knocking doors to sell his tamales, we bought here and there, but he finally opened his restaurant and I’m SO impressed. He’s really done a great job and you wouldn’t know how much he worked for it. The food will fill you up (2 tamales does me good for a very desirable price) and for the experience of a sit down, the wait time of relatively in-n-out

06-18-2023 12:30Really fantastic food. Not Tex-Mex. Particular to Puebla and the area nearby in SW Mexico. Excellent flavors. Super authentic. Wonderful service. Ask for variations like vegetarian and they can accommodate. A reviewer below says not very authentic. No way have they been to Puebla or Oaxaca. It's the same as those areas. People say whatever.

02-25-2023 23:10Paid $20 for this tiny bit of mole poblano. The second picture is what was advertised... Not at all close to what I received. Definitely not worth 20. Especially since it showed a large chicken breast, and I got a leg. Then the side portions were tiny. I've never received such small portions with a meal. I was still hungry after my meal. Needless to say I won't go here again, neither will my family. Mole was ok. My sisters is better, and I've had better at other restaurants. Shame. I was excited. What a letdown.

02-19-2023 06:15I hate to give any place that’s trying, a one star review, but I just wouldn’t eat here again, and honestly wish I hadn’t eaten there tonight. The chips and salsa was small for two people to share, plus the chips were tough! And, although they gave us more of the delicious salsa, they didn’t give us more chips. More then this, we didn’t enjoy either entree we ordered. The chicken enchiladas were drowned in a strong, bitter sauce, and their was no cheese or anything with the chicken filling to make it not dry/ plain inside. And my chile relleno was so unpleasant I had to stop trying to eat it because it was ruining my association with my favorite Mexican dish! The cheese inside, though a classic Mexican cheese, was not the melty cheese I expected like at other places (instead it stayed in one large lump). The roasted pepper and breading grossed me out flavor wise and the tomato sauce on top was not good on the chile relleno. The queso tamale was good, we enjoyed the beans and rice overall, and the corn tortillas tasted fresh and were heated nicely. Also, the customer service was pretty good. If you found this review helpful, please like it so Google and I know. Thanks!
