First time here and it was a different experience. I brought some things. Prices are reasonable and the front desk black lady very friendly and professional.

I recently purchased an expensive mattress set that feels nothing like it felt in the store and even when i took it out of the plastic, it was a tear under on the bottom. This mattress is flemsy and when you lay in it, you and your partner are eventually both sunken in the center of the bed. I called and spoke with the owner of the store and he told me that the manufacturer would cover it and gave me the number. I contact them and they say, no, that is up to the store and you will have to speak with them about the issue. I contact the owner again and he refers me right back to them. I'm on the phone with them longer than the 30 minutes I previously experienced with them. The supervisor at the manufacturing had to contact the store directly. So she tells me to call them once again. I call and spoke with the owner again. Now, the first time I spoke with him, he was chipper. In fact, anytime I've gone into this store, since I was 10, always a positive attitude which is why I've always come back. Even when products were horrible, the people that work in the store will make you come back but not this time. I called the store for the last time and THE OWNER tells me, you have got to be the luckiest person with the worst attitude. I'm like...what. He goes on to say that the sales representative tells him he has to take care of me and I can return the mattress. When the owner turns on you like that, where do you go from there? I work in customer service and you NEVER tell a customer that, even if you're thinking it. Because I referred to a product a certain way and I'm telling you my distreas, I still had a positive attitude because I likED this guy but you tell me I have the worst attitude. I didn't even return the mattress because I didn't want to face anyone in the store and I'm NOT sleeping on $700+ mattress set. 1. I don't recommend you go here if you want quality 2. Yes they have layaway BUT you're not guaranteed that same item once you finish paying it off 3. Down to earth staff but the owner doesn't like complaints about his product. He'll tell you, you have the worst attitude by voicing your concerns. 4. If you want to know other furniture stores in Memphis that offer the same layaway or no credit check, take home today with nothing down...hit me up. This is NOT the only store that has options.

It's nice employees there but the price is just as you going to a head store nothing cheaper exactly the same thing

The items I purchase was fine for the price. If you are on a strict budget check them out. I purchase a queen bed frame u0026 3 piece couch set...at $800 items descent...I brought some throw pillows...NICE...I had to purchase bed slats went to home depot u0026 purchase wooden slats.

I just love this place. I've actually purchased so many items from here. The thing I love is that they have layaway for 6months and you can pay at your own pace. The staff is very courteous and patient. Anyone that own a banquet facility they have some nice chairs. Keep up the good work Hotel Sales u0026 Surplus great doing business with you, I'll see you soon.

Very friendly employees. A nice variety of furniture to choose from. Inexpensive place to shop. First visit and I will be returning to make more purchases.

Great values and customer care, there leaders could use more training on respecting customers.

I ordered furniture with them switch total out to be $600. I wanted them to deliver it. The delivery driver texted me and said they will be at my house between 3-7pm so I had my husband sit there and wait on them because I had to be at work and he had to be at work by 8pm. I told him if we don’t receive a call from them by 7:00 then go ahead and leave for work. The delivery driver ends up calling me at 7:35 saying he is on the way. By that time no one was there any more. I called and tried to speak with Greg(the guy over delivery) the next day regarding my order. I just needed a exact time and date they can re-delivery my furniture. Greg couldn’t tell me where my order was, when they could deliver it again, a time schedule, I mean NOTHING and didn’t care to. So now I have $600 worth of stuff flowing around Memphis and just need to sit and wait my turn. He told me this was the first time they ever had a issue(as if they don’t ever happen), they were too busy to deal with my concerns, and he will see if he can “squeeze my order in somewhere” one of these days whenever he get a chance. I am a paying customer just like everybody else. Once they got your money, they are only concerned about getting new customers. They don’t care about existing customers. Once you pay your money, you are just another number. I hope that Greg isn’t any type of manager because his customer service skills are horrible. I would’ve just asked for refund but they don’t do those either smh. Be careful when spending your hard-earned money with them because they can careless once it’s in their hands.
