09-12-2023 07:50Mr. Shaun u0026 Ms. D needs to have a conversation with the manager J.Marcus the tall black guy who is on a straight power trip, really unprofessional and ghetto. As soon as I walked in the hotel smelled like straight marijuana, drug addicts everywhere outside and inside, but he’s not concerned about that, but concerned about a parking space for a few minutes waiting on my friend who was contaminated in scrubs and we didn’t want to risk contaminating everyone since we just got out of a 3 hour surgery. Which I tried explaining to him, but he did not care and kept talking over me. We were in and out, but I was sitting in the car to avoiding higher risk of contaminating people. Straight in and out is the best protocol and walking by others, even walking by others outside will put them at risk. I am a travel surgical tech and we stay from time to time since the hospital we work at is down the street. This time I was sharing a room with my coworker whom has been there an entire month. I was also at the front talking to the night audit and J.Marcus comes and interrupts our conversation and started hollering at me and was laughing as if something was funny. I was talking to the night audit and gathering some information which I have every right that is not against the law, but according to J.Marcus it’s against the law. Even the night audit had to tell him to calm down and asked why is he calling the police. This is not how you handle customers or people in general, you’re suppose to de-escalate situations as a manager or a person who works in Customer service. He also lives on the property and act as if he owns the place. Another incident J.Marcus told me I needed to stop coming to the front desk to get my key reactivated, even though my key kept deactivating. He rather call the police instead of resolving situations in a civilized manner, but allow drug addicts to go in and out?! Its just ridiculous and unprofessional. It’s never that serious, you only call the police when it’s really needed not over a parking space or over a guest talking to the night audit. The police didn’t do anything and never gave me a warning, he just told me it’s no big deal and to leave because I was on my way out anyway. I did get a room elsewhere because of this situation. This is embarrassing and humiliating! I try to support the owners by staying at their hotels because they’re genuinely good people and have treated me so well. Unfortunately I will never return unless its talking to the owners that’s only if J.Marcus doesn’t call the police first.
