RE: The Billing Dept for Erlanger Neurology on 1755 Gunbarrel Rd, Ste 300, Chattanooga: My elderly Mom’s flip phone had a text message last night. According to the texted link, it’s a debt collection agency u0026 the debt was $189 for Erlanger Physicians. The only Erlanger Physician she has seen was a neurologist in January. So I called their billing office this morning, explained who I was u0026 that I was calling to see if my Mom had any outstanding bills. The billing clerk referred me to Paragon u0026 gave me an 800 number. I asked her how is Paragon related to Erlanger. She told me – debt collection. I pushed for more info. The clerk proceeded to tell me that Erlanger sent Mom notices of balance due from March 01 to August 23. Where did you send them? She confirmed Mom’s address at her assisted living center. I collect Mom’s mail – she never received any billing statements from Erlanger. The clerk then told me they tried calling as well u0026 left voicemails u0026 texted her. And on one occasion apparently Mom hung up on them. I said, ma’am, my Mom was seen by the neurologist for Parkinsons. So you’re telling me that a stranger from the billing office called a patient who has Parkinsons u0026 is not in 100% good mental health u0026 tried to tell her she owed money? As far as leaving voicemails, I remember 1 robo-voicemail on Mom’s phone that might have been from Erlanger u0026 it did not say anything about an outstanding invoice. I told the clerk that I provided a copy of my POA at our visit – so why did no one contact me in the first place or after they got no response from Mom? The clerk had no reply to that. It is ridiculous that Erlanger attempted to collect an unpaid bill from a patient who is not in 100% good mental health. It is further ridiculous that they never contacted me, the POA, when they were not getting any responses from my Mom. I will be submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau as well.

The Anesthesiologist and nurses prior to and during my C-Section would get a 5 star review, but everything after that went downhill. I have no idea how this places gets voted best place to have a baby - I've had a baby in another hospital in another state and truly feel sorry if the women of Chattanooga think this is good care. I can only speak to the labor and delivery department in my review, but would never recommend having a baby here.

I have never been disappointed by a hospital until I moved here and had to deal with Erlanger East. The labor and delivery department may sound good on advertisements but dealing with them personally has been so stressful. I'm a high risk patient that's supposed to be induced tomorrow. I had more panic attacks since Monday then I have had since being pregnant. Staff tells you one thing and manager says another to doctor. I'm at the point where I don't want to have my baby here. Very disappointed. Glad this is my last pregnancy because I never want to deal with this department again.

My feedback relates to my experience with the ICU nursing staff and weekend lobby receptionist only. Posting my review as my parent's healthcare advocate, Erlanger East Hospital ICU would be ranked amongst the best I've experienced in the many years both of my aging parents have required critical care. Friendly, courteous, professional and knowledgeable staff, I cannot convey how much a positive attitude can add to any hospital experience, especially when a family member is in need of critical care. Kudos to ICU Nurse Practitioner, Christi Denton, who was thoughtful, kind, tactful, and knowledgeable. A positive attitude by hospital staff, even with none of the above attributes, goes a long way and is very much appreciated, as well. Many thanks to Nurse Denton for her nursing care excellence. Also, a shout out to hospital tech, LaShun Wellington, who took the time to ask if she could help me in any way, as I was awaiting entrance into the ICU for visitation. Ms. Wellington was compassion personified, including having wished my parent a speedy recovery after making sure I was taken care of. I really appreciated her helpful and compassionate outreach during a particularly stressful time for my family and me. Lastly, I would like to acknowledge the weekend ICU receptionist, named Delores. A more personable receptionist I haven't met in a very long time. People visiting hospitals are generally there under stressful circumstances. Having family and friends in the ICU makes a visit even more stressful due to the circumstances. To have someone with a welcoming, positive attitude greet you at hospital visitor registration really goes a long way towards easing a visitors stress. Though I was the lone family member caring for my parent this weekend, I never felt alone at all. If people had the positive experience I had during my ICU visits this weekend, what a wonderful world this would be. Thank you Erlanger East ICU/Reception/etc. for hiring people who care and enjoy working with people. Much appreciation, and keep up the good work.

If I could give zero stars I would. My wife had a car accident and had to be taken to the ER. Upon arrival, I was asked to leave the waiting room by the short fat security guard. I was given no explanation as to why I was to leave. There was plenty of room in the waiting room for patients coming in. After being told to leave the waiting room, my wife waited 3 hours to get called back. After being called back the nurses began telling her that the wreck was her fault. Who cares even if it was? The staff needs to do a better at actually doing their jobs! At the end of the day no one wants to be in the hospital. It’s time for these bums to stop being so insensitive. Stay far away!!

The first time I came a week ago the nurse blew my vain , I came back two nights ago and the night shift nurse Ashley was great ! I have no complaints about my visit two nights ago , I came back this morning to the register she kept interrupting me, had AirPods in her ears so she couldn’t hear me talking and kept asking me to repeat myself , you think she would take the air pod out, right? Nope! she didn’t. they continued TO TAKE ME TO A CHAIR IN A HALLWAY instead of a room or bed , I have a kidney infection so sitting in a chair just aggravates it more after this they said after I get an iv they were just gonna stick me back in the lobby I told them no that I was gonna be watched and taken care of not stuck back in the lobby DO NOT COME HERE . They don’t care to make you feel comfortable, they don’t care if your in pain and need immediate attention, the staff just stands around and gossips right in front of you .i still have yet to see the guy who said 15 mins ago he would be right back with my iv

DO NOT GO HERE! I was miscarrying and came to this hospital for help 3times in a matter of days. On the last visit I found out they were with holding information from me , that the triage lady mistakenly told me about. Every visit they told me nothing was wrong with my baby or pregnancy that everything I was experiencing was normal but before they discharged me , for the last time , the DR told me “ you might miscarry there’s nothing we can do “ and then walked off! I also have another experience where I went to be seen and they gave me the wrong information u0026 told me to go somewhere else to be sure !

Dr. Few is my OBGYN and she is a very kind person. I saw her throughout my entire pregnancy and she delivered my son via emergency c-section. Although my birth plan did not pan out, she did a great job of helping me feel safe and heard throughout the process. The Lu0026D nurses and the NICU nurses are PHENOMENAL and I couldn’t have imagined a better experience in those aspects despite everything.
