Claio Rotisserie

We really enjoyed the look of the inside of the restaurant. We also enjoyed an after meal drink on the cute patio. The server was pleasant and gave us helpful suggestions. The halloumi was delicious! The cocktails were fresh and yummy. It's nice to have a comfortable upscale restaurant in the neighborhood. We will be back for sure.

I want this place to be 5⭐ but it's lacking in so many areas. The service is slow and they frequently forget about their tables (ex. waiting for dishes to be cleared for more than 15min). Some of the mezze dishes could easily be made better at home. We ate all of our food because the price per dish was absurd. The atmosphere is nice but no plans to return for below average service and overpriced food that could be made better in your own home.

This was one of the worst meals I’ve had in a while. Claio was recommended by another chef friend so I was excited to visit. To start, the service was terrible and the food was bland. We ordered the chicken plate and on the menu, it states that white meat is $2 extra. So we assumed the standard is dark meat unless requested otherwise. The plate was dropped with the breast. We wanted the dark meat so we asked if they could swap it for us and it took 3 servers and multiple visits until they did. The new plate they brought had the smallest piece where the thigh was deliberately cut off (see photos). So we just paid $26 for a small chicken leg with sides. Great. After, a woman came over who condescendingly explained to us that if we have a preference, we should state it when we order. Sure, I guess that makes sense but if I say that I want white meat, I get charged $2 but if I play chicken roulette then I might be lucky. Not a great model. In addition, the chicken was under-seasoned and dry. The restaurant is cute but the food and service needs an overhaul. The potatoes are good

Claio is a beautiful space and an Adventure into the fusion of that cuisine in Reno. You will meet a staff that will make sure your dining experience is the best you've seen in a long while. As a first timer speaking, make your reservation and indicate if you want to be on the inside or the outside patios. You won't be disappointed.

This place is, in a word delectable. Every morsel of food was a party of flavor dancing in my mouth. The burger was juicy in a proper manner that it was exquisite but not messy by any means. And they end the meal with a supple cherry for a pallet cleanser. I will definitely be going back.

Claio is wonderful. The warmth and ambiance, the friendly staff, everything. So much thought and detail was put into this restaurant and the food speaks for itself. Everything tastes fresh, bright, and homemade. Can’t wait to try other things on the menu next time.

Organic Chicken Platter - Kinda bland but it’s still delicious. Lamb Burger with Crispy Schmaltz Potato; added Fried Halloumi - Must try! We added fried halloumi, that’s a white, semi-hard, salty cheese, traditionally made from goat or sheep's milk. It compliments the tasty lamb flavour. The Schmaltz Potato was amazing. The way they chopped it, seasoned, and fried it, gave more crispy texture to it. So delicious. Most worth it and delicious dish in the menu (IMO). Crispy Octopus - The chef did a great job with this one too. It was crisp on the outside while it’s softer than usual on the inside. Seasoning and sauce was good too. Iced Mountain Tea - Tasty and refreshing but there’s too much ice! It’s basically $5.75 for three sips. French press coffee was good. Staff was attentive and friendly. Restroom was super clean, pink and pretty.
