08-08-2023 17:12Firstly, much of the experience with Howdens has been very good. The kitchen designer was pleasant and professional and their joiner/fitter was very high quality. However, we ordered their 'own' brand (Lamona) appliances and the hob is just awful. With just soapy water and cloth it has marked and the pan stands have discoloured. I initially contacted Howdens in November asking for a replacement and offering to pay the difference in cost. I was ignored or fobbed off until today (end of March) and finally told that no replacement would be offered and any issues caused were our fault. Therefore, I'm now in the process of reporting the issue to Trading Standards and pursuing mediation in the claims court. A shame, because it could easily have been 4/5 stars, but it just feels like they have deliberately obfusgated on this issue, to avoid having to do anything.
