iSmash - Sheffield Meadowhall centre

The boys at ismash in meadowhall are absolute lifesavers, i came into the store before going away with the misses tomorrow and our sons ipad was completely smashed, despite saying it can take up to a day to fix it when i told them my situation they bent over backwards to have it done for me within 2 hours. absolutely brilliant customer service skills from aiden and the rest of the team

I cannot praise and recommend these guys @ Meadowhall enough. After going to the  store and being brushed off, these guys were amazing. If you have a problem with your iPhone, don’t consider the  store go straight to these ❤️

Visited here on a Wednesday at 6:30, upon recommendation from a friend, with an issue with my phone’s microphone and was told they couldn’t fix the issue there and then, but gave me a quote and was told to come back on Friday, fair enough. I then made a second 35 mile journey to the shop on Friday as agreed, to be told that they cannot get parts at all for iPhone 13’s and there was some kind of ‘mix up’. There was no mix up, I had very clearly mentioned the model of the phone and the staff member had my phone for a good five minutes looking at it, so an absolute waste of time.

never left a review before but this place was so good when i left i had to because it was just brillant, an hour to fix my phone that was utterly smashed, working like new again. cannot get over how well these boys know their stuff

My iPhone stopped charging and I’d put it down to a faulty charging port. The staff suggested a service of the charging port and if unsuccessful, a replacement charging port. The port began working perfectly after the port was thoroughly cleaned and serviced. Really happy with the service received.

I've used iSmash on two occasions. The first occasion was a year ago or more, and it was completely positive - friendly team, cheap price, problem fixed. I'm not sure if I left a review at the time, but if I had, it would have been 5*. The second time around was more recent - I believe it was in March. I dropped in at the Meadowhall store and my iPhone battery was replaced. However, it's actually worse than ever (I'm not even sure the work was done), so I've twice contacted customer services to try and get it sorted (or a refund processed). I emailed them on 24th April, and then again on 8th May. Still no response, and still having battery issues. At this point, my trust is broken and I won't be returning. £35 paid, then scammy behaviour. I'd avoid this company! **EDIT: AUGUST 2023** After a bit of a break from Google Reviews, I'm editing this experience to let people know that iSmash contacted me shortly after posting the original review (I must have finally got their attention!) and offered to replace the battery free of charge. The guy who gave my phone back to me at the end of the second appointment was the same guy who'd seen me at the first appointment, and had a real attitiude during our exchange (presumably because of my review). He said something like off you go after speaking to me, which just came across rudely, especially because I was trying not to make things awkward! TL;DR, battery has now been replaced twice and is still terrible, and I still doubt whether anything was done to it. Case in point, when I collected the phone on the second occasion, the meter was showing at something like 63% for a presumably new battery. AVOID!

I prebooked a repair so that they could order the new screen, dropped off the device for repair, fine. However 3 weeks later I still haven't got a repaired device back! Called 3 times to try and get an update and nobody answered the phone after being on hold for 10 minutes. Went in person to try and get an update after 2 weeks, told it was still not available, after 3 weeks have still not had an update or a repaired device bag. Shocking service.
