Halfords - Sunderland

Bought a bike with hydraulic brakes. Collected and when home discovered both front brake pads pressing hard onto disc and stopping wheel rotation. Called and advised they only had a part time mechanic. Just don't believe that for a second. Having to return as unable to give even basic advise on the process to adjust brake. No apology or explanation for what is frankly unacceptable and shoddy work.

Case reference Q20718164 I’ve had this case open for 1 month today trying to get a mater resolved and it is still on going. Since purchasing some items from Halfords I have drive through to the store and have phoned customer services 8 times and this matter is still not resolved. Had to file a complaint with the store manager because of his cocky attitude with no people skills what so ever. The most dreadful store u0026 customer service experience I have ever had to deal with.absolutely appalling.

Had an puncture out on ride and Halfords in Trimdon was the only cycle shop near and open. The most friendly and helpful man called Frank sorted my bike , found the cause gave loads of helpful information to me too . .Superb service and staff

Had a pretty ok service from the store who have fixed my ebike in the past. A bike service was booked in for 24/7/23 the sales assistant came out and said we cant work on the trike as its illegal and are not allowed to fit other brake pads only what we supply. Now prior to this visit I had a chain break on the trike in May 2023 I took it along to the store and young lad there fitted it no problem. The assistant who saw me was very unprofessional stunk of cigarette smoke and made excuse after excuse not to work on the trike. Now if halfords read this I suggest u train your staff in customer service and hygiene because not being funny todays experience stunk worse sewers. Update after conversation with the manager the Trike got sorted with no issues, the manager explained that the sales person wasnt sure on procedures.
