Istanbul Restaurant

The food is so good it left me speechless, literally the best restaurant in all of Sheffield. The garlic sauce was to die for, I always come specifically for the sauce and it never disappoints. I’ve tried almost every dish and not one is bad. The waitress, Mariam, was so kind it felt like talking to a friend and despite the place being crowded, she’d still make time to chat and make you feel welcomed.

The food is great here! We used to love coming here for the great food and it was very cheap. The restaurant has gotten more fancy recently which has reflected in the prices. It is still reasonable though. We often get the Istanbul mixed special (pictured) which is a starter of mixed cold meze and then a sharing platter with meats chips and rice with salad. Would recommend! We have also had the meal for two, which is also great value.

I am very disappointed at the food portion now especially for takeaway. I've been going to this restaurant since 2010 and it was always my favorite spot to eat either after a night out or just casual family dinner or even when I was lazy to cook. Ordered takeaway tonight, when taking out containers from the bag I noticed the container felt a lot lighter than usual and when opened the container I was in shock how small size the lamb shish was. I understand the living crisis situation now and everything become so expensive but they already put the price up long time ago and i know they also shrunken the portion size to make every order more profitable. But this time was really unacceptable, the lamb piece was smaller than a cat litter we ordered 3 meals only come with 2 salad which was not so fresh either. Wings we ordered were too salty, lamb shish were too dry to eat. Very awful and hideous meal. I feel so disappointed that my favorite restaurant took too far to make profits on dishes and my family and I won't return again after tonight.

Popped in on my my home from a night out and what a delight/ Chicken wrap with all the accompaniment Plus a complimentary piece of baklava ; which was amazing. I left to take a taxi, solo -female and a lovely guy from the shop checked that I’d got in okay. I wish I’d have taken him name to to say thank you ! Fabulous food and hospitality !!!

Disgusting food, rude staff. The waitress was extremely rude, she misbehaved with my uncle when he asked something regarding the food. She asked us to control our kids and she also said that make sure your child don't touch anything. Food was cold she served pasta first and after 15mins she served the platter. She doesn't even know that everything should be served together. And in the end when we asked for the manager, she said I am the owner. The REAL OWNER should know what's happening in the restaurant!

Prices are affordable, service is good, and the food tastes really good! But I've given it a ⭐ less since they only accept cash and it's very inconvenient as in this age and time one hardly keeps cash with them. I'd suggest that they change this otherwise a good place to eat!

Decent Turkish food, opens till late.

I don’t usually go out at night. Had a craving for lamb chops at 23:00 and this was the only halal restaurant nearby that was still open. Lovely service from the waiter. 100/10 for her. 🙂 Delicious garlic sauce. Big portions. Absolutely loved their complimentary bread and olives but their lamb chops were disappointing. Quality was ok but they were not grilled properly. They looked as if they were boiled and put on the grill for 1 minute. They had no seasoning at all either. Maybe because I arrived near closing time and the chef was in a rush, I don’t know but that’s not an excuse. You either do something perfectly or don’t do it at all. Personally I don’t do half jobs. I’m all in or all out.
