Tyre Centre Costco

The two gentlemen we met at this place saved our holiday trip. Coming from Germany with our caravan we had a flat tire due to a nail. It happened very close by to the shop and it already was late (all other shops were already closed). They made the impossible possible. Directly looked after the car, tried to fix the tire but wasn’t possible due to the size of the nail. So got a new tire for a very good price. Service was perfect, very friendly and customer oriented. They helped us without appointment and long discussions, 30 minutes later we were back on the road enjoying our holiday. You are the best.

I originally ordered tyres online with Costco which was an awful ordeal, and they never arrived, Costco had another offer for Goodyear tyres so I thought my first experience was a one off, so I thought I would order instore and have a nice experience, couldn't of been more wrong! Ordered tyres instore on the 23rd July 2023, originally they were expected within a few days but then once the order was completed they date jumped to August 5th, I wasn't in a rush so I said that was fine, the date came and went with no contact from Costco tyre centre. I rang them up and they had to get in touch with Goodyear to see where the order was, rang back saying it was delayed but they'll be in by the 18th. Same again, no contact so I called up, given another date being the end of August, I called up when requested for a final time to be told that the tyres were going to be delivered on the 12th September, after all this messing around I wanted a cancellation. I requested a refund where I was told I would have to go to the warehouse in person and have the refund processed via my card which wasn't what I wanted to hear as my local warehouse is 45 minutes away. I contacted customer complaints who then passed my complaint back to the tyre centre manager who offered to post me a cheque with my refund. 1.5 weeks later, no cheque, I had to make a trip to Costco for other reasons so I thought I'd go by the tyre centre to process my refund, I waited at the front desk for 10 minutes with no one coming to help, so I rang the number and hung up when the guy came to answer (install a bell or something?). The guy was helpful, he didn't know the background but got himself up to speed to help me. He went back between the front desk and office a few times and finally walked out with my cheque, which had been sat waiting for over a week in their outbox, failing to be posted. I've never had such an awful experience with a company, the process was truly shocking of how mismanaged the ordering process and logistics were for them, no follow ups with customers when they miss expected delivery dates, not being able to refund me remotely. I ended up having to go to ATS Euromaster who ordered and fitted my tyres within two days with great service, but it ended up costing me 30% more than Costco. Costco can be the cheapest by a mile but what good is that if they can't even get the stock and put a customer through all that headache? Avoid Costco for tyres!

Wouldn’t go anywhere else, highly recommend to anyone. The guys working there are always top notch, down to earth u0026 polite. Only tyre fitters I’ve ever experienced that wipe the lube off the alloys, make sure you’re happy with their work before you go u0026 work on your car as if it was their own. All I would say is that some of their policies are a bit weird but that’s down to Costco not them!

Never anyone on counter or answering phones they need to have a permanent member of staff on counter/phone duties
