Horrible experience, the tall guy with glasses is absolutely rude, i heard him a few weeks ago shouting at this younger lad saying he would get banned when the lad was doing absolutely nothing wrong, on top of that he is always rude with customers. Will never be going back

Opening hours are good, but the range of products inside is just awwwful. Often I've just given up and headed somewhere else. Do not recommend.

There was a staff member working today that wear’s glasses that was very rude. For start he is not polite at all and gives a terrible costumer service. The card machine wasn't working properly and he mentioned that my card was refused. And then he said out loud the type of card i was using just because it was a healthy start card. i was 100% sure that i had the amout to pay at the end we've used other card machine and ive payed with my phone to avoid the situation to get even more unconfortable.

All the girls working there are very nice and friendly... The two blokes on the other hand are rude most of the time. Specially the skinny guy with a teenager haircut who NEVER says good morning or thank you. I bet he still lives with his mum the looser.

Mostly grumpy staff with zero people skills who seem unable to wear a mask properly (this includes the management) when on the shop floor. On more than one occasion I've been overcharged due to 'on sale' items going through at full price. The last time this happened I pointed out their error to which they replied oh yeah, that again. If they're aware of a problem why not fix it? I was overcharged by nearly ten pounds.

The big tall guy nearly bald with glasses was extremely rude to me and my boyfriend telling us to ask for a bag at the beginning of the shop or we're just wasting time, I was trying to see if I had enough cash or needed to use my card. I said sorry i didn't see, and he just said yeah yeah, and rolled his eyes.

The Austin/Vernon Street store is by location the closest Co-op to the town centre in Ipswich. It's also the closest to the Suffolk East of England Co-op HQ in Wherstead, so you might think that they'd make some effort to run it properly. But on the contrary, it's the WORST managed store in Ipswich, if not the county! It sells remarkably little stock of its own Co-op brand, not even own brand staples such as Co-op99 Tea. Whenever there's a product on offer you can be assured that there's just a gap on the shelf here. The 'Reduced to Clear' pricing is just a joke, I've actually seen ENTIRE shopping trolleys brimful of bakery items all due to go out of code the very NEXT day, but each item ONLY reduced by 10p! Just what GORMLESS staff member actually WASTES an hour of their time labelling bread that'll be thrown in the bin the NEXT day, with ONLY a 10p REDUCTION? Not only that, but the trolley of bakery items to clear is always HIDDEN by staff in a corner of the alcohol section. If you leave that aisle without any bottles, or anything else because you're not enough of a MUG to buy a 10p reduced loaf of bread, staff all stare at you as if you're shoplifting! This is the most badly 'managed' Co-op I've ever been in with some of the most bone idle, rude staff as well. One of them even moaned about interrupting her gossip with her colleague reducing the bakery items by 10p each, u0026 having to pick up the barcode reader in order to scan my Co-op Rewards membership card! Absolutely useless excuse for 'customer service', even by standards of cliquey Ipswich local staff!

If I was as ugly as the bald guy that served me , I’d probably be as rude as him as well 🙃
