11-27-2023 07:43Lovely cinema but I went to a showing of 2001: A Space Odyssey and the volume was so loud that it hurt my ears. Many people went up to complain and they did turn it down to a just about bearable level but it was still too loud. Disappointing. Edit: I have been in many cinemas before and the sound is not loud enough to deafen you. The sound was unbearably loud during this film and was turned down halfway through (either that or I got ear damage) Super disappointing response.

11-13-2023 22:37Very cute old cinema that seems to be well-maintained and keeps a lot of its heritage. The seats were comfy with nice tables in between. The staff was helpful and the bar serves very nice popcorn. Ticket prices were reasonable, not cheap but not very expensive either. We haven’t tried the bathrooms as other reviews mention the bathrooms are a downfall. My main point is that during the movie it started with subtitles for the first 10 minutes then they restarted the movie without subtitles. For a 3-hour movie with a lot of events, characters, and details, having subtitles is really important to be able to keep track. Other than that everything was nice!

10-29-2023 23:33The flat floor means if you have someone tall in front of you, you have the back of someone’s head taking up the middle of the screen. The toilets are gross and are located in the screen room so you have a steady stream of the doors opening and closing next to you. The paint is peeling off the ceilings and the floorboards creak when people walk around. Some may find this quaint, I just found it distracting. If you are near the back you are a very long way from the screen. For £30 for two adult tickets I’d actually prefer to watch it on my phone.

10-12-2023 07:58I was in London in 1969 and lived down the road from the cinema on Norland Square near the Holland Park Tube Station. I'm fairly sure your cinema must have been where I'd regularly see movies during the three months I lived there. The movies being shown were not first run but recent classics like 'Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf' and 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.' Am I right?

09-27-2023 18:52👎I don’t like cinemas that promote hyper-sexualised society, especially when I have to walk by with my little kids and especially when a primary school is just around the corner. You should be more careful with the posters you stick on your display visible to kids of every age. Disappointing! I’m not longer a customer.
