Chelsea has been working magic on my hair for years. The whole team are really, friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere is great in the salon. Chelsea always listens and helps you achieve your hair goals. She gives excellent advice and is easy to talk too. I have a lot of hair but Chelsea is a pro and I leave with healthy beautiful hair every time. Cannot wait to go back.

Had the best experience in Slunks! Oli is so talented and did an amazing job getting my black box dyed hair to bright orange! Everyone there is so friendly and doesn’t feel like any other salon. Will always go back now!

I had my hair done recently by Sophie, and she was great! I’ve been with her before so I loved having a chat while she bleached and coloured my hair. I was even offered a cuppa! She is super friendly, great at colour work and a nerd like me! I have long bleached hair that has been coloured in pinks/purples/blues over the last few years, and she helps me to keep my hair in great condition. Sophie is deeply knowledgeable with the products and how the different hair colours interact and was able to advise me on my colour choices and potential future colour melt combos. Highly recommended !

I have been going here for a few years now and always had a good experience. All the hairdressers have been patient with me and so understanding. Sophie M has always been fantastic to me and so kind, I love how she always works with me for whatever mad idea I have for my hair, and keeps me and my hair safe - my hair has been the healthiest its ever been thanks to her help! I had an amazing experience getting my hair cut with Scarlet. She knew exactly what would work for my hair and did such a brilliant job. I'll definitely be back!

I changed to Slunks in May 2022 as my previous hairdresser (and other salons in Cardiff) could not provide bright enough colours for me and they often faded in as little as 4-6weeks. I am so happy I made the change as Sophie is an absolute pro at bright colours and uses high quality products that means the vibrancy lasts. I visit every 10-12 weeks and my hair has not lost its firey spark throughout this time. A couple of visits back Sophie introduced a panel in my hair too, which I love and have kept. Visiting the salon is always a treat with coffee and biscuits provided, and even a glass of Prosecco at Christmas time. I highly recommend!

An entire lifetime of hats, wigs, weaves, GHDs, scrunchies and headscarves and here I am finally loving and embracing my curls. Crystal is literally some kind of hair magician. I didn’t even know this was possible.

Great first appointment the other month with Leah! Having had to avoid going to the hairdressers since the start of the pandemic due to being clinically vulnerable, my hair had grown from short to long, was in bad condition, and my funky coloured hair had gone back to its natural mousey-grey. Leah was totally understanding of my sensory issues as I'm autistic. She cut my hair back shorter and gave me back fabulous blue, pink and purple hair. I feel back to 'me' again!!
