10-05-2023 19:42Very enjoyable break. Staff were very polite and friendly from the moment I arrived. Room was good too but toilet flush was a difficult button. Location a little bit challenging to walk to for first time but easy on once I've done the route already. Really enjoyed the food. BBQ wings starter were saucy and a little crispy. The added coriander and chillies finished the dish perfectly. For the main, I had the Fish and chips. Expecting it to be like what I've had before, I was shocked but pleased to see a large piece of battered fish on my plate. Breakfast in the morning was as good as always.

07-23-2023 05:35Rate at time was £73.50 not inc parking (£6). Pubic and other hair on shower cubical wall, stains on carpet. Was told I would receive a refund of £9.99 - still waiting and unlikely to get - for Breakfast due to a number of factors - stale bread, very small amount of 2 x crumpets, 3 x pancakes and 1 x muffin still in cling wrap, only half of fresh fruit put out, coffee machine not working initially, chef hadn't turned up - though I was only told this AFTER my money had been taken leaving me no choice but to wait through whilst the cooked breakfast was brought out piece meal and over cooked/re-cooked. Appetite lost - so unusual for this branch as the breakfast is the one redeeming factor normally. the only upside was another night away from my neighbours after an exhausting journey back up north. My preferred branch was fully booked.

06-16-2023 23:26Interesting room design didn’t enjoy the sink being in the room and not in the bathroom. That means the door to the bathroom is very dirty because you open it before washing your hands which is gross Also waited a solid 20 minutes for a singular veggie sausage which is ridiculous when they said it’d take only a minute

06-12-2023 19:36We stayed at Premier Inn Sheffield City Centre for an event at the Arena. We have stayed at a lot of Premier Inn hotels in the past, usually without issue or complaint. However, our recent stay at the Sheffield City Centre Premier Inn was our worst stay ever. Firstly, on first visit to the room, it became clear that the room was very dilapidated. The wood beneath the sink was peeling off, the skirting board had been damaged and there were stains all over the wall. The room was really dated and such an unusual configuration, trying to watch TV from the bed gave us neck pain and there were no plug sockets by the bed. We did initially complain that we were not happy with the room and we asked to be moved but we're told that the hotel was full and so we were provided with an extension lead instead. The staff were not very apologetic. Having spent some time in the room, it also became clear that the room was very dirty - the bed linen we had been provided with was stained and ripped and there were bodily fluid stains in the carpet. I attempted to complain about the dirty bed linen however there was no one at reception and had to flag someone at the bar after buzzing a handful of times. We received a half hearted apology and after about a 20 minute wait, one of the staff changed our bed for us. We don't expect luxury when we stay in a Premier Inn hotel, however we would expect a certain level of cleanliness and service. We paid £147 for our Saturday night stay, and while we appreciate it is the busiest night of the week, I don't appreciate having spent so much money on such a horrible, dirty and uncomfortable room. It has put me off using Premier Inn in the future and I certainly will not be using this Sheffield branch again. Avoid this hotel, there are many much nicer hotels in Sheffield that are around the same price or less.

06-07-2023 05:31The hotel is in a better part of the city, and the noise from outside is barely audible from the rooms. The rooms are reasonable enough for the price although not cleaned as well as they should be, as I found the previous occupant's sock behind a chair. The staff are very pleasant and always willing to help. The restaurant for evening meals and breakfast is fine, with a reasonable choice to choose from.

03-23-2023 04:45I feel that the standards are dropping. On arrival at the Reception 14:10 hrs, the lovely polite Receptionist kindly greeted us but then advised us that to book in our room before 15:00 hrs would cost us an extra £10.00 I feel like this is Not good practice. So sad to have to write this review. 😧
