08-19-2023 07:10Car went in for body repair through my insurance, when it came back the rubber inside the drivers door was all torn. Obviously someone pushing passed to get in a narrow door opening. Putting in complaint. Plus there is still an obvious dink left in the bodywork where the repair was done.

08-08-2023 17:00I cannot fault Evans Halshaw Wolverhampton, I was given an amazing service after someone crashed into my car while it was parked and failed to leave details. I was pretty flustered as I was due to go on holiday 3 days later and needed to drive 900 miles with a car that had a badly damaged wing, and a damaged bumper, broken headlight and a damaged wheel. I originally popped in for a quote as was hoping for it to be affordable to pay for myself without having to put a claim in with the insurance against myself, but that’s what happened in the end as the damage and cost of repairs was unaffordable. The gents and lovely young lady were super helpful, put me at ease and even helped me complete the claim with the insurance on my phone and contacted them on my behalf to get me booked in as they had stopped taking new jobs on because they were so busy! I was kept updated every step of the way through Hastings and given live updates on the status of the repairs, a courtesy car was delivered to my home address and my car was delivered back to me at my work address less than two weeks later looking like a brand new car! Every member of staff I met was friendly from start to finish, and really empathised with me and the situation I was in. I hope the tubs of celebrations and thank you card I left in the footwell of the courtesy car made it back to the reception! I can’t thank you all enough for the service you’ve given me and feel that you deserve a positive, 5 star shining review to outweigh all the negative ones you have on here, I would 100% recommend to anyone needing repairs and encourage them to not take all the negative reviews into account and influence your decision, and put their trust in you with their vehicles, they won’t be disappointed! Thank you!

07-05-2023 14:19The quality of workmanship is excellent as was the stress free experience. Overall the job took a few days and was done much sooner than expected However the shining star of this company was the recieptionist Amy I believe hope I’ve got that right. I don’t care if she’s on 40k a year she deserves a raise. She’s absolutely excellent and any company would be lucky to have her as the face of it! 11/10

07-02-2023 04:20Summary-poor customer service and incompetent mechanics. Why? I purchased my motor vehicle from car store Shrewsbury, which came with 3 months warranty. Evans Halshaw and Car store are all part of the same group , Pendragon group. I had two minor issues with the car, the horn and a clip missing from underneath the vehicle causing the handbrake cables to knock against the prop shaft . The car went into Evans Halshaw for these repairs. After one day the receptionist called me to say no issues were found with the car even though a report from BMW stated the horn wasn’t working and the car was rattling like hell. Honestly the noise was significant and concerning (it eventually turned out to be a minor clip). I asked them to look again as it was a 1 hour 20 mins all round journey. The receptionist said they could keep it for a week and keep trying it! I said to her to take my key and try it herself as it would take 10 seconds to identify there were issues which the technician couldn’t find ! To note they also couldn’t fix the horn as my car is a BMW and it would need a specialist, for a horn 🤣. On the second day I rang to get an update . They said they ordered a new horn and the noise was a tool left in the car from previous work. I collected the car and on arrival I found the chap on reception great but his colleague, Steve ? to be very stressed which resulted in him coming across rude. He said the noise was fixed and a horn was ordered . Nobody got back to me about the horn and guess what the noise was exactly the same when I drove off . The car wasn’t even road tested to confirm it was fixed as I took a mileage record of the car and have a screen shots to prove it via the ‘my BMW’ app. If the knocking noise had been dangerous it is my opinion they would have not diagnosed it causing a health and safety risk. This part is actually shocking and shows total incompetence. I filed a complaint. 48 hours I was quoted before I’d receive a reply . Several weeks on no reply even though I chased . They obviously don’t want the feedback. Genuinely appalling service and I would avoid! On a positive there sister company, Car store Shrewsbury were brilliant.

06-19-2023 16:30Repaired the rear of my car (insurance Claim) The repair was good BUT.... They when they took my car for repair after delivering a courtesy car, they phoned me to say my car had overheated on the way to the garage. This had not happened previously so I asked them to take a look at it and sort it out for me and I would pay for the repair. They did the accident repairs and returned the car. They did not do repairs relating to the over heating and the car overheated again. When I got it back water was running out of the water pump and a rattling and grinding noticable. Knowing there was a problem with the overheating and the pump. They continued to drive the car in that condition. It is now with my local garage for an expensive repair. Evan's Halshall should not have driven the car and did nothing to resolve the problem whilst it was th their care. Will definitely not be using their services again.

04-02-2023 00:56My sister had her car repaired there it was all in all a bad experience firstly the repair wasn't all bad at all as I'm a mechanic and I know a lot about car repair but the estimator ( Simon ) insisted on a new bumper and rear panel, again it could be repaired and preserve the originality of the vehicle . Secondly the paint quality was in my opinion sub standard there were a few specs of what seems to be dust that they clearly there's been no attempt to rectify in the paint finish she has also been left with what I can only describe as a goldfish bowl inside her spare wheel compartment as the rain water just pours in . When attempting to support my sister's complaint I've been met with nothing but smoke and mirrors approach from a guy called mark and apparently the manager called Phill if that's the real names so all in all I wouldn't recommend their company and will be looking into getting my sister's insurance company to investigate as it seems like it's another company defrauding motorists again
