I am really happy with my experience with Macintyre’s. Their response to the e-mail was very quick (yes I did appointment old school way)! It was my first coloring and Eve explained me everything! She had little book with all the hair color samples and it was very helpful! I also had haircut - I would say that Eve kept it safe. She cut just a bit each time and she was double checking if I am happy with everything! I enjoyed my 2 hours there a lot! In the meantime I got tasty tea, we had nice chat with Eve and Boyd and I even got some recommendations about amazing perfume place in Edinburgh! The atmosphere relaxed and friendly. I came back 2 days after my appointment, because I had some questions (it was first time dying hair for me) and Boyd answered them all! It is nice to be welcome by the salon owner, I really appreciate that Boyd is taking care of the customer service, very professional! You can see the care about his employees! Highly recommend! First time visit for me for a wedding hairstyle. Lovely salon, very clean and everyone was bright and bubbly! I explained that I'd recently coloured my hair and didn't want the colour to be stripped with the wash and blow dry - so they did a cold wash for me and it kept my colour beautifully! Then I asked for a half up/half down with a wedding pin in the back. They absolutely nailed it first time and I can confirm it stayed up all day and night and was above all else comfortable which is what you need for a wedding do! 100% recommended. 5*

Lovely salon, Every time i arrive all staff are always so kind and welcoming. I have had Amy as my nail technician for almost 2 years now and would be lost without her!! My nails have never been in better condition, i first visited Amy with tiny, weak nails and they are now stronger and longer than ever before! Amy is always so warm and welcoming u0026 is always great to chat to! I thoroughly look forward to my monthly appointments, highly, highly recommend!!

Lovely salon, always clean and all staff are friendly. I regularly visit nail technician Amy and would never consider going anywhere else because she is phenomenal! A kind and wonderful person who always listens to what you want - she even created a perfect tartan nail art by hand for an event I was going to, which I got compliments on all night! Cannot recommend enough, the salon and the shellac ☺️

I had a colour, cut u0026 style with Eve whilst visiting Edinburgh and highly recommend! I had to drop in for a patch test u0026 had a quick consult, super easy and such friendly service. Eve was great, perfect u0026 thorough work, very happy with my refreshed hair whilst travelling.

Lovely staff and overall great experience. Staff are extremely knowledgable and do everything at your pace. I was also given some invaluable advice for my hair and recommendations which previous hairdressers have never cared to tell me. I would highly recommend them and I will be back. I first had my nails done by Amy Lucchesi over a year ago and have been going back on a monthly basis ever since, I don’t think I would trust anyone else with my nails again! My nails have never been longer and healthier, and she always has a wide range of colours and designs to choose from. Her precision and attention to detail is second to none, especially with French manicures and accent nails, no request is too much for her and they’re always picture perfect. Most of all though, Amy is warm and friendly and takes a genuine interest in her clients, I love going back for a catch up as much as to sort out my nails! I would highly recommend. The salon is beautiful and so centrally located with weekend and evening appointments available, which is perfect for me working in town.

McIntyre’s is a bustling, thriving, vibrant salon on a quaint street (Thistle Street, how much more Scottish can you get?) in the Edinburgh city center. Easy to walk to, easy to park near, and loaded with talented, conscientious stylists. There are multiple levels, accessed by a staircase with nail technicians on the top floor. The salon enjoys abundant light from large windows and a relaxing vibe. My experience began at the shampoo bowl in anticipation of a bouncy blow out. The woman who assisted me was thoughtful about the choice of products she used on my hair and massaged my scalp intently as she washed my hair, making light conversation with me. I was then shown to Leona’s chair. Leona is the consummate professional. She gave me the bouncy blow out of my dreams, using pin curls, as I requested, exceeding my expectations. I appreciated her recommendations concerning the condition of my hair - slightly dry due to travel and moving - and use of a hair mask the next time I’m in, to nourish my hair. I’ll be back, on the regular!
