Hyde Park boating

Very nice paddle boats. They fit four people and you can take children on board. You pay for each person- 10 p- and children are discounted. They have student discount, be sure to show ID. The queue looks long, but you get there fairly quickly 15-30 minutes. They aren’t fussy about returning the boats, but you should return them in 30 minutes. We had a bit of trouble returning them, since the dock was full. But they accommodated us, after requesting.

What a wonderful experience, we encourage you to participate and even get off the boat to buy ice cream like one person did.

Amazing experience, beautiful views. Only thing i didnt like is that kids cant pedal, pedals too far. My lil one was dissapointed that he couldnt pedal for mammy.

Fun little paddle boats. Personally it's worth going in the earlier morning hours, like 10am. It was much less busy and cheaper. Once it starts filling up, paddling the boats would be more difficult to maneuver.

Not a bad price at all for a family to have a boat for an hour at all. Thoroughly enjoyed it

Just missed the off peak rates (10 to 12pm)... shame.. Queue was short and service was quick. First time on a paddle boat bit was given clear instructions. With the weather this was an enjoyable experience. And 30 minutes is more than enough for a good paddle round. But I'd recommend 60 minutes to do a lap of the lake at a more casual rate. Boat is easy to steer. Lake is big enough to avoid other boats. Def worth a visit.

Prices are per a person, so it can get quite pricey with multiple people. Wouldn’t recommend renting one when it’s really hot outside and clear skies, as the suns heat does get reflected off the water and back to you. And it is a bit physically straining using the pedal boats or row boats specially during the heat. Has a small island where you may be able to see aquatic birds resting like Herons and some other species. If you want to see swans best place to see is here, you may even be lucky and see some swan fledglings.

Busy, maybe a 20-30 minute wait at peak times (around sunset) but its pretty good fun. They are fairly easy with you taking drinks etc with you, so it can end up being a very good hour or so on the water. Especially on those hotter days when the cool breeze isn't annoying. Go with friends or family, do some races. Float about and enjoy. Adults £10 for 30 minutes. There are discounts for families.
