Hotel Omni Mont-Royal

This is my first time staying at this property. I must say every service personnel we encounter is first rate. Feel very welcomed. Rooms are nicely furnished, if not absolutely modern. All the niceties of creature comfort are there. Location is wonderful, enabling us to walk everywhere with ease. Except for a minor hiccup with platinum benefits, which is resolved with a phone call, it is a smooth, efficient stay. I will gladly stay here again when I visit Montreal again. I highly recommend this hotel for its price, rooms, service, and location.

We stayed here for 3 nights. First off the staff were amazing. 5 star service from every concierge we met to the doormen who helped us with some unpleasant cab drivers. Overall the hotel is beautiful, but for over $300 per night I don’t expect to see torn wallpaper or scuffs on floorboards. The “fridge” in the room never actually gets cold only cool and there is no microwave just a heads up. There is no indoor pool only outdoor so it was not open while we were there. We never ate in the hotel as we thought the prices outrageous for even a basic breakfast. We were referred to the restaurant next door called Universal. Best breakfasts for a very reasonable price. Location was good. Not far from Old Montreal or other attractions. Overall if you can afford it I highly recommend The Hotel Omni.

Mixed feelings about this place. Overall, not worth the cost at all. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful with just about any issues or problems you have there. Expect to tip a lot(if you do). I don’t normally valet but they have one person who holds your keys and one person who retrieves your car. Two people to tip to help you get your car. You’ll also have to tip the bell hop who brings your bags to your room. Unless you get the high floor larger rooms, it is really standard in terms of size. The view is ok of mont royal but it’s partially blocked by a large building. The view of the city is actually better. I know because I had two rooms. Had the Amex plat so I got a complimentary upgrade but they couldn’t control the crowd of college kids who managed to book up most of the rooms on my floor and run around with alcohol. So I got downgraded to go to a different room away from them. Valet also takes anywhere from 5-20 minutes to get your car. Really just depends on how busy they are. Pool is closed but they have a beautiful gym.

I have stayed at the hotel before and opted to stay there again for a recent visit because of the location and the quality of the hotel. However to my surprise the hotel was hosting a US college event which created a terrible stay. They did not mention that this was happening when they checked me in and they put me in a room with an adjoining door to the College kids. I was woken up at the 2:30am to screaming and could not go back to sleep. It was only after I demanded a new room and threatened to check out did the hotel give me a room change. I also demanded and received a refund for that night. While I was happy with the outcomes, the hotel staff was slow to react to my issues. Also, I am very surprised that the hotel is so desperate for money that they would host such an event at the expense of their reputation and their guests’ overall comfort and enjoyment.

I understand the reviews calling the rooms dated; they definitely need an update, however they are very spacious compared to other hotels and we found them comfortable. As other reviews mentioned, staff are top notch: extremely kind, friendly and professional. It was a special occasion for us and they left us amazing treats and a card, it was very kind and touching gesture. Will definitely stay again.

They were rude and inappropriate with young women. The male staff were very disrespectful and followed young girls to their rooms. The staff are the most disrespectful people I have ever met. The walls of the hotel are so painfully thin even while speaking at a conversation volume every conversation can be heard in the hallways and noise complaints were made over us just laughing. The staff need to get a grip and realize that their paychecks come from the guest and if they want to continue to have guests they need to learn how to treat people with respect. DO NOT EVER STAY AT THIS HOTEL. You will be treated horribly and if you are young girls staying here you will not be safe.

Overall a nice property and great staff. However the elevators were having issues with buttons not working; my tub drain needed clearing out BADLY, piece of dog kibble in my room.... Drain was dealt with promptly and worked perfectly after. Catering for the conference was very tasty. Healthy options provided. Bar staff were friendly. Great location to walk to Old Montreal, shopping, etc.

Very spacious rooms. Comfortable beds and pillows. Overall, it's clean, the rooms could use a tiny bit of updating. Outstanding service overall. The bar and restaurant staff were amazing, and the concierge was great. The pool was not operational at the time of our visit, which was disappointing. Great location. Walking distance to everything. I would definitely return to this hotel.
