10-26-2023 15:18Room wasn't upto my standards personally. No view, sink and washroom were separate, never liked this concept. AC was barely working or was working too well and wouldn't go down...BUT location is prime! We skipped breakfast, was basic. Wanted to swim and workout...swimming pool needs a renovation. Overall, if you're coming to tour Old Montreal; stay here since you'll be just sleeping and out most of the time.

10-05-2023 15:52Great location in Old Montreal. Pricey as a result though, with parking an extra cost of $35/day. The room was clean but smelled a little and our AC unit didn't work. Luckily, it wasn't very hot so we didn't need it. There was no view from the windows, as it faces an adjacent building. The breakfast (included with our room) was very good. The bed mattress felt a little old, not as comfortable as you'd expect from a Marriott. I'd recommend solely based on the location.

09-04-2023 23:29Location is convenient for walking everywhere near the old port. We are able to park our car and forget about it during our stay. The elevator to the parking lot makes packing and unpacking. But the stairs are just as helpful as an uncrowded alternative. .The en suite layout of the rooms is very convenient for a family of three or four. The free breakfast is fine. The coffee is good. The stay here was without hassles whatsoever.

08-07-2023 08:35I have high lifetime status with Marriott which means I’ve stayed in a few of their hotels hotels over the years. We stayed for 4 nights here in late May 2023. Generally, I was satisfied with the room, service and location. Breakfast was quite crowded, so I found a wonderful local coffee shop within walking distance and relaxed there. We hired a local guide one of our days so spent little time in our room. No views, but I didn’t much care. It was very hot in Montréal during our stay and the room was comfortable. Overall, efficiency and slightly larger room, with good location for tourists.

06-10-2023 05:59Honestly one of the worst hotels I ever stayed at, and for the price I was in shock. The hotel smells, the decor is old and not very up to date, the rooms have ants... overall extremely disappointed. We requested a room with a queen and a sofa bed since we were 3 people, no joke the sofa bed wasn't able to open correctly because the room was too small and it pushed against the wall. We ended up sleeping all 3 of us in the queen. Avoid this place at all costs, much better options around for cheaper!

03-19-2023 10:36I was really disappointed in this hotel. It is way over priced for what you get. Rooms smell musty, stains on the pillow cases, mold in the shower. No extra sheets given for the sofa bed, no extra towels, no conditioner in the bottle provided in the shower. However, the service from the front desk is really great. The location is fantastic. Overall, for the price, I would stay somewhere else. The hotel needs major updating and cleaning.

03-13-2023 19:53Huge disappointment. The only reason I sucked it up was because we arrived late in the evening (with kids) and was staying 1 night. I wish I had just ran away. The pros: the location is very central to tourist attractions. The breakfast wasn't too bad. Parking at the property was good. Service was as best as it could be. The shower pressure was great. Everything else was horrible, dated and smelled musty. The hotel hallways smelled like mold and must. The room I was in (213) smelled like dirty, sweaty socks. My kids (4 yrs u0026 6 yers) even commented it smelled like pee. I could barely stand the smell and my boys kept sneezing. I felt uncomfortable walking without shoes because the carpet just seemed sketchy. The room was facing the small street where you enter the hotel and boy did we paid for it...we were woken up just before 8am by the loudest sound from a large city truck just below our window. It sounded like an airplane was parked outside our window-- I couldn't even hear my husband talk, who was laying next to me. So no-- the windows are not sound-proof, which should be a given since this is located in the city. I called the front desk to ask what was going on and all they could do was apologize. The noise lasted an hour. The pool was a joke! I chose this property hoping to take my kids swimming in the morning. The pool looks dingy and the flooring was crusty, plus the water was cold. There was no way I was putting my kids in there. It was completely empty in there (everyone probably felt the same when they tried to visit the pool). They should just remove this option. The towels we had looked tired and they only gave us 3 for a 5-person room. I had to ask for more. This property desperately needs a makeover...it is a bad representation for the Marriott family. As an Platinum member, I have come to expect a minimum standard (nothing fancy, but at the very least clean rooms and amenities). I would never come back here. There are many more options in the area that are worth the extra dollar. Shame on Marriott for neglecting this potential gem-- the location is great.

03-11-2023 20:29Big disappointment —Which hotel gives 2 blankets to 4 guests. We booked for 2 adults and 2 kids and were given 2 blankets. When we contacted front desk the response was that hotel has shortage of blankets. No resolution was given. The only good thing was this hotel is the location. Parking is $35 plus tax per day. Breakfast was normal. Rooms are very old, water flows at super slow rate at all drains. The rooms at 1st floor smells mouldy as pool is located on the same level. There is no way you can walk or move once you open the sofa bed. Lightening is super dim. AC is good at making sounds than throwing cool air. We don’t see us staying at this hotel again in future.
