Simit Bakery Cafe

Simit bakery is absolutely wonderful. The atmosphere is so homey and comfortable, definitely an authentic taste of Turkey. Everything was freshly baked and super fluffy. The sujuk was delicious. The staff are super friendly and accommodating as well. Great for breakfast/brunch.

Absolutely delicious! Came here early on a Sunday and food was fresh and staff were awesome. One of the staff even showed us his fav way to drink Turkish coffee with a little Turkish delight. Would recommend the rice pudding too, underrated!

Since arriving in Canada a few months ago, there's been certain things I've been craving. Baklava has been one of those. This place is fantastic: fresh, crisp flaky layers, sweet, full of pistachio

Great place to have breakfast, not too busy and the staff is very friendly. Their bagels are delicious, my fav one is Aspendos (salmon cream cheese). Surprisingly good coffee and hot choc. Desserts are tasty as well, try baklava and profiteroles.

Hands down the best bakery in Vancouver. If you have never tried their Manti, consider yourself not having lived before. Simit and baklava are the two other favorites.

Simit Bakery is pretty busy so it might be hard to find a table during peak hours. My Turkish friend took me here to try some Turkish pastries. They also have breakfast and lunch plates too. The San Sebastian Cheesecake was SO LIGHT and CREAMY!!! I feel like I could've eaten 2 pieces. The Baklava was also deliciously flaky and sweet! The bourek with spinach and cheese was EXTRA flaky! The pogacha with feta cheese and dill was a smaller, denser type of pastry. The stuffed bagel with sucuk and mozzarella was quite soft on the inside and sucuk is like a beef pepperoni. All the pastries are heated up for you. The Gozleme was like a flaky and flat stuffed pancake. The Manti (Turkish dumplings) were a lot smaller than I expected and filled with beef. Just imagine really tiny tortellini underneath all the creamy yogurt sauce. It was also my first time trying Turkish Coffee (served with Turkish delight)! I had mine with a bit of sugar and it was very rich and smooth? Overall it's a great place to stop by for some coffee and pastries and definitely get the cheesecake!

I was surprised with the quality of the savoury food here! The beef Bourek was so delicious. The cheesecake was also fresh and tasty. I am not a big fan of bagels but I liked their version of it. They serve tea in traditional Turkish cups which is a nice touch. I had an americano coffee which was ok. Overall we enjoyed our breakfast here and will visit again to try other items.
