Fairmont Palliser

Wow, what an incredible stay! The hotel's staff made me feel like royalty, and the stunning room and delightful food added to the experience. I must mention a special incident during my stay - I accidentally left my laptop, but the staff promptly found and safely returned it to my home. Their exceptional service and honesty went above and beyond my expectations. I can't stop raving about this fantastic experience. I'm already looking forward to my next visit to relive those unforgettable moments and experience the hotel's outstanding hospitality again!

The Fairmont Palliser is grandiose, beautiful and in an unbeatable location. The staff are very attentive and go above and beyond to help, and the rooms are clean and nice. During my last stay, there was plumbing work being done one evening (12-2am), which my partner and I were not informed of upon booking/check in. When it was still very noisy in our room at 3:30 am, we called the desk to complain and were promptly moved to an upgraded room for the rest of our stay. While the noise was quite frustrating, the ability of staff to handle the situation made it not too big of a deal. My only real complaint is that there is very little light in the bathrooms. While it is fine during daytime to get ready due to natural light, for a high end hotel there should be much better lighting for guests to get ready to go out in the evening.

SPA SPECIFIC: Staying in Calgary with a friend and booked spa appointments. The treatment was good, but this is a very limited service experience. The pool/hot tub is not private - it's for all guests, so think kids playing and enjoying their stay - but not a quiet, post-facial respite. You walk through a hallway with your robe that is the traveled by many hotel guests, not just for the spa. If you're looking to get a treatment, then relax quietly with your companion, this is not the place.

Beautiful Fairmont hotel in downtown Calgary. We stopped in before dinner at 360 Calgary for appetizers and drinks. Definitely a hotel to consider for a weekend. Great service and food was superb.

I cant recommend this place enough!!! Im a very light sleeper, the staff is so friendly they helped me find a room that fits my needs. This included upgrades and the nicest customer service! And the place is beautiful!!!

The Fairmont brand is our hotel of choice and the Palliser is our go to when we travel to Calgary. We stay here at least once per year. Our most recent stay was by far the best thanks to the incredible staff, our beautiful upgraded suite, and the extra amenities like turn down service and a surprise in our room after the first day. The mattress and pillows are great. The aesthetic of this hotel is grand. For those reviews commenting on room and bathroom size, you have to keep in mind this hotel was opened in 1914. It is historic and I don't think I have ever stayed in the same room configuration twice - it is part of the charm and it is interesting to think that people have been staying in this room for 11 generations. If you want a cookie-cutter room, there are several other hotels in the area. The Hawthorn Lounge is also makes my favorite old fashioned in the city.
